Mekong
BANGKOK — Sunday was the last straw for the Saengyotrakarns. Once, someone blocking their driveway kept them from getting to the hospital with a broken leg. Then there was the time their dad died because they couldn’t get him to the hospital in time. Since they moved into their home in east Bangkok, people have always parked in front, blocking their driveway. So after one of the resident aunties went Lizzie Borden on a white Nissan Navara, smashing its windows Sunday with an axe, they went on the offensive today in the court of public opinion. cavanami
The video was on the Thai TV news. I can relate as I have Thais that block my driveway. Problem is in this moo baan that one household might have three or more vehicles and only one parking place! so they just park wherever with no thought of others!!

Mekong
I have often ben tempted to do the same, not with an axe mind, inconsiderate self centre assholes. My Blood Pressure has returned to normal since I packed in driving
buffalo_bill
A proposal of convincing simplicity would be to put 2 concrete blocks in front of the entrance which would not allow a car to park but let a car pass through.
dean
I once used a driveway to turn around and was told that Thai's don't do that. I guess that it's OK to block the same driveways with their cars. My house is on a private, dead end street, so no problems with being blocked in. Specialist
If you don't need to get out any time soon, there's a simpler solution. Valve core tool. All four wheels. Make sure nobody sees you do it. If you REALLY want to deliver the message, Superglue the valve cores to the front windshield, on the driver's side.
passingthru69
I have learned, not the hard way, thank goodness that the basket, chair or other items in a spot means that it is reserved for someone else and don't try parking there. Problem is there are way too many vehicles for which the roadways and parking can not accommodate now.
cavanami
Then condo I rented had 300 units and 100 parking places... Some people had two vehicles. The condo management issued stickers, one per unit so that took care of the units with multiple vehicles....still short on parking!
