The Official "beer" Thread

Recommended Posts

It's just that I'm known to take the odd beer picture.

Anyway whilst I broadly(sic) agree with your list of reasons for beer being better than a woman there's a few areas it can't compete, vis:

A beer wont fetch me another beer.

A beer doesn't thrash about in delightful abandon when I touch it just so.

A beer doesn't wince and show red marks when I spank it.

A beer can't cook my favourite food and serve it in highly inappropriate dress.

A beer wont clean the apartment naked.

So though I do like my beer, I still want to keep the women around for the other 'stuff'.

Maybe it's good I can't drink beer anymore? Mekong, whats size Mansiere do you where (Man's Bra)

Dim the lights, put on some Marvin Gaye, and chug a cold one – it’s time to get in the mood.

We’ve reported in the past that the best alcohol for sex is red wine, but we’ve now discovered there might be a different boozy beverage that’s ideal for arousal: beer. Specifically, beer with hops.

You see, hops contain plant estrogen called phytoestrogen. While estrogen is found in both men and women, women have more of it, which is why it’s often categorized as a “female hormone.†According to Renegade Health, hundreds of years ago, women who worked in the hops field menstruated earlier than everyone else, the idea being that their estrogen levels were amped. And with said estrogen increase possibly comes another benefit: a higher sex drive.

So what’s the catch?

Well, hops don’t have the same theoretical benefits for men as they do for women. In fact, inability to sustain an erection after drinking beer is nicknamed “brewer’s droop.†In a report with Fox, herbalist and author Stephen Harrod Buhner also claims that the estrogen in hops contributes to men developing breasts (aka moobs). Still, we know there are some great benefits in general for men when it comes to beer – including but not limited to muscle repair after a workout, decreased risk of heart disease, and boosted creativity.

While the hardcore evidence backing up these claims is still being developed (we’d love to participate in any studies), if you’re a lady and want to get in the mood, try sipping a super hoppy IPA and test the results for yourself. Men, you can still enjoy your hop-packed brews, but if you want to play it safe when it comes to the language of love, reach for a wheat beer instead, as they’re often flavored with coriander instead of estrogen packed hops.

DAM - More good news on drinking beer!

1. It makes you last longer.

The phytoestrogens in beer can help delay premature ejaculation. As women often take longer to arrive at the party, this isn’t just great news for men, who often show up early. Sierra Nevada is both delicious and a good source of on-tap phytoestrogens.

2. Dark brews can help get you in the mood.

You know about mood lighting — now discover the glorious benefits of mood beer. Apparently, darker beers contain more iron than pale ones, increasing both red blood cells and overall circulation. These are two vital building blocks to easier and more frequent erections.

3. Beer increases stamina.

Research at at Italy’s Fondazione di Ricerca e Cura showed that men who downed a pint a day were 31 per cent less likely to suffer from heart issues, giving credence to the belief that beer is good for heart health. Combined with exercise, it could be your ticket to better cardio endurance.

4. Guinness is great for stomach issues.

Don’t judge a beer by its cover. Guinness is surprisingly low in calories and alcohol content, but that’s not the only reason to indulge in the dark Irish stout. Dr. Kirk says that Guinness is rich in vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin B and probiotics. “This means it can help fortify your overall health and be better on your stomach so you won’t feel sluggish during sex,†she says.

5. There’s even a beer specifically engineered to enhance performance.

50 Shades of Green is basically like green juice and viagra combined. It “uses ginseng, ginkgo biloba and damiana to achieve increased sexual desire, blood flow and nerve stimulation,†Dr. Kat says.

So there you have it. You never again have to blame your colleagues for making you linger one extra round at happy hour.
