I have just returned from Hamburg-City. On September 5th 2018 there was once again an Anti-Merkel demonstration between 18 and 20 o'clock.

„Merkel muß weg!“ "Merkel must go!“

I was there. Afterwards I spoke with participants, but also with fanatical counter-demonstrators; all from the left-wing extremist camp, "Antifa" - anti-fascist.
Later I was in the Meyer Lanskys, a hip and trendy cocktail bar directly at the place of the event, the Gänsemarkt. There I talked with guests about the current situation.

I know my country. Since my stroke in 2012, I have had 24 hours to read newspapers and magazines every day. In addition blogs of scientists, intellectuals, poets and artists. I sit in the Düsseldorf University Library for many hours and read and study books, studies, expert opinions, scientific collections of essays.
I think I know the mood in the country.
Sorry, I am tired now.
Tomorrow I will drive back to Düsseldorf.
Next weekend I will post more about th actual situation in my country.

ok. Enough for one go.Sorry for my bad English.
Late!!!  in Buxtetown (Buxtehude) on the Este (Deutschland) – 1 a.m.

There's a bar in Germany named for a Jewish American gangster from Prohibition days?

Flashermac,

yes, he was that famous mafioso:

Meyer Lansky (1902 - 1983), son of a polish-origin jewish family, is regarded as the most powerful, brightest mafioso of all time. He built up a gigantic network of jewish gangsters: the Kosher Nostra. For more than 50 years the FBI tried to get him down, but failed, because thanks to his outstanding memory, there were no records of his "business" and thus no proofs.

This bar is a wonderful place for relaxing, chatting, flirting.
Right in the heart of Hamburg at the Gänsemarkt  =  goose market.

Gänsemarkt is located in Hamburg's Neustadt district. Thanks to numerous shops and restaurants, the square is a popular place to go, especially for shopping enthusiasts.
But the square also has something to offer historically.
In addition to historical buildings, such as the tax office - a typical Hamburg clinker brick building by the renowned architect Fritz Schumacher -
there are also modern buildings along the square. First and foremost is the Deutschlandhaus with its numerous offices.
The Meyer Lansky is located in the souterrain – basement – of the Finanzbehörde – tay office.
Come to Hamburg and we can have much fun ....

Here now come my announced texts on the German European refugee problem.
I am writing as short and concise as possible.

Causes of flight:

The big problem of many black African, Arab and Muslim states is their internal violent conflicts and civil wars. The Islamic as well as the black African world has been in a worrying demographic dynamic for a few decades, which is the actual reason for the many violent clashes, civil wars and murders!
We (the Western countries) have been living in a stressful situation with the Islamic world for about 25 years. Why is this so?
The central factor is the gigantic population growth in the Muslim states.
In the Islamic countries there is an army of millions of perspectiveless young men between the ages of 15 and 35 who have hardly any professional and social opportunities. In these countries, a tremendous pressure has built up, emanating from the supernumerary, unchanced, angry young men. We can watch the discharge of these violent and vigorous energies on our screens every evening when the Islamic world feels insulted again.

The European and especially the German situation since 2015.

For many years Europe and especially Germany has been facing enormous immigration pressure from the Arab-Islamic world and from sub-Saharan Africa. The situation became critical during the Syrian war in the summer of 2015. Since then, Germany has accepted 1.5 to 2 million war refugees, as well as asylum seekers and economic and poverty refugees.
80 % of them are young men; only a few families with children. 80% to 90% of all people who have come to Germany are from Islamic countries in which Islam is the state religion or they bring with them an Islamic character and identity.
The reality is: On closer consideration almost all men who have come to Germany are poverty refugees in search of a better life.

They did not want to stay in Turkey or in Greece or in one of the many Balkan countries or in Southeast European or Eastern European countries. These are the countries that were on their flight routes. The refugees were safe there. There they were free from political persecution, military confrontation, torture and other violence. But that was not enough for them. They wanted to go on to the western countries of prosperity.

The first and main destination of all poverty refugees is Germany.

A concrete example:
In 2015, Poland accepted about 3000 Syrian Christians as part of the European distribution of refugees. A few months later not a single Syrian Christian was in Poland any more. They all went to Germany. These people were neither sent back to Poland by the German police nor by the German foreigners and immigration authorities. This has been welcomed and accepted by the German policies.
Why? In Poland they got 80 Euro pocket money per month; round about. In Germany it is 8 to 10 times that amount. In Poland there is no prospect of a job with a decent income.
This is only possible in Germany.

The current political situation at the level of the European Union and the European state governments.

Immigration pressure from the poor countries of the Islamic belt and the black African countries will increase in the coming decades. The causes are the enormous population explosion in these countries.
In recent years Madame Merkel has tried to install a European solution to the refugee problem. She has not succeeded in doing so to date and will continue to do so in the future.
The Eastern European states led by Hungary and Poland strictly and steadfastly refuse to accept refugees. They refuse even if the EU imposes severe sanctions on them. They obviously want to remain the ethnically, culturally and religiously homogeneous countries they are today.
Punkt, aus, Ende der Diskussion. Dot, off, end of discussion.

Austria supports the Eastern European countries massively. Austria under Chancellor Kurz and the parties ÖVP and FPÖ (both conservative-liberal parties) cooperates with Hungary and the Balkan states to close the borders for illegal migrants.
Denmark has been fending off migrants at the German borders for years. Holland stonewalls too.
In Sweden, elections will be held on Sunday 9 Sept. 2018. Sweden, too, will probably close its borders.
In Italy, the five-star movement and the conservative-liberal Lega have formed a new government after the elections. The main objective is to prevent illegal migration.

Spain: the new social democratic government takes in refugees coming by boat from North Africa. If the refugees have to stay in Spain because France rigorously keeps its borders closed, then the political pressure on the Spanish government will become so strong that it will also have to repel migration. The arriving people - almost all of them black young men - do not want to stay there, but want to move on to the prosperous zones of Europe, in other words mainly to Germany.

France is playing a double game. Macron closes the French borders to Spain and Italy; refugees are rejected and sent back.
At the same time Macron supports Chancellor Merkel in accepting further hundreds of thousands of immigrants.
"Macron demonstratively backs Merkel in her refugee policy" I read today 8 September 2018 in German newspapers.
It is always the same: France is doing everything it can to weaken Germany.

Conclusion:
One can say that Germany is completely isolated with its policy of open borders and immigration for everyone ("no man is illegal").
The German sovereign, the German voter, just hasn't noticed that yet.

I want to be educated on this. The Syrian migrants I understand. There is  civil war going on. The African migration I assume is an economic one? I was hoping to visit eastern Europe next year, and some point get a eurorail pass and visit several European countries. Do I need to fear for my person? You are your passport. I can have a twin in Nigeria in the same place but my passport makes me "different" sometimes I get mistaken for native African...usually by native Africans...lol..which I find complimentary (My answer to are you African...400 years ago I was). Anyway, I like to get to the root cause of things, peel away the layers and get to the essence of something.

The progressives I know say had the west simply stayed out of these countries or not meddle politically/militarily the problem would not have occurred. I don't know enough about that to know that.

I had a friend in Hamburg and she said her son spoke rudimentary turkish simply from having schoolmates. Europe for the most part is/was homogeneous to varying extent. Some places like Belgium and Switzerland spoke 2 or 3 languages not including English but by and large European nations were fairly homogeneous. Unlike America where we were always diverse.

One of my other questions is, if migration was cut to zero, that wouldn't solve the socio-cultural problems such as assimilation, etc, would it? Demographic trends are not going to change much I assume?
