Given that the American culture invented the very concept of "teenagers",

(before then we had children, then, adults)

and also given that all of the world's teens, now ape the American popular culture,

particularly the rap/hip hop/gangsta varietal,

it is the 'merican culture they are aping and that you suggest we respect.

So you're saying this is "American culture"?  Yeah, got to admit that this happens almost every day in the USA.

"A gang of Syrian teens tormented train passengers in Germany over the course of a holiday weekend, sexually harassing girls, threatening families, and even pulling a knife in one incident, according to local media."

And the notion of "teenagers" is hardly American culture. It was a New York advertising gimmick invented in the first half of the 20th century, which bizarrely insists that 13 year olds are no different from 19 year olds (although I don't know who invented the threatening families and pulling knives that you say is part of it.). As if that weren't enough, you now have advertising directed at "pre-teens".  That makes as much sense as calling everyone else "post-teens".  Maybe 40 year olds could be targeted as "two scores"?  50 year olds as semi-centenarians?  :hmmm:

2 elderly men sneak out of nursing home to attend heavy metal festival

You're never too old to rock on. Two elderly men managed to slip away from their nursing home in Germany to attend the Wacken Open Air, the largest heavy metal festival in the world, over the weekend, authorities said.

According to Itzehoe police, the pair was eventually found Friday at 3 a.m. local time at the festival after their retirement home in Dithmarscher reported them missing. Police told the Deutsche Welle the men were found "disorientated and dazed."

The metalheads were apparently reluctant to leave the four-day festival in Wacken. They had to be escorted home with a taxi and a patrol car as a "precaution," police said.

Festival organizers didn't specifically address the senior daredevils, but their official Twitter account made sure give a shoutout to elderly fans "because you're never too old too rock."

The ones that really piss me off are the 35 yr old men for whom a skateboard, is a constant and present accessory. Because they think they're 14 still....
