Face, and a whole new way of reading it

Face has always been a factor in Thailand, and a lot of other countries, in all sorts of things from business to personal relationships just about anything can involve face but now your face might be giving away secrets you never knew. The rather tragic case of what appears to have been a murder/suicide in Seattle involving two Thai women has provoked significant discussion as might be expected some of which sounds quite controversial yet on further searching yields some interesting studies suggesting that facial features can be a way to determine someones sexual orientation. The premise being in the Seattle case  that the older woman was the aspirant Tom hoping to secure the affections of the younger Dee who we are led to assume spurned her provoking a rather typical Thai soap opera style outcome. Sounds rather nutty at first but it does seem studies have been done into this that suggest it might have some value:

I'm quite fascinated, and it would make for a cool movie. Anything to make it easier to spot that super hot bi-sexual chick who's into a bit of everything.

I didn't want to say anything, but my first thought when I saw the news of the Seattle deaths was that it was lesbian related. Sometimes the problem is because one partner is basically bisexual, and the fully lesbian one can't handle that.

We had a problem late in my Peace Corps service in that the country director was bisexual and the deputy director was straight lez. They became lesbian lovers, and it got so that volunteers didn't want to go to the office because one or the other would seem openly hostile, viewing you as a potential rival. This went on for most of a year, until another staff member in the office finally contacted PC Washington and told them that something had to be done. It was even wore since they'd brought in a lesbian as the head of EFL training who didn't know beans about Thailand.  PC checked into it, found it was true,  and immediately replaced both of the top people. They brought in a former country director from Samoa, who was one of the nicest people I've ever met. She was a Black gal whom everyone immediately took to. Her title was deputy director, and we all asked for her to be made our country director.  But PC has a rule of no more than 5 years in any position - volunteer or staff, and she was nearing the end of her 5 years.  I later mentioned her to a friend who'd been a Samoa PC vol, and he immediately raved about her. It's a shame PC had the 5 year rule, since she was perfect for the job.

A former paramedic friend and a retired LA cop both told me stories about lesbians and knives. It seems to be their weapon of choice. The paramedic told me that in bar fights, they'f always slash for the face or the breasts, trying to destroy the other's "beauty" to make her undesirable.
