Coss
BANGKOK — An American fast food chain that opened in Bangkok without any of its famed “supreme” beef fare, will take action after it became a laughing stock on social media....................... http://www.khaosodenglish.com/life/food/2019/01/29/cowed-by-social-media-bangkok-taco-bell-to-add-beef/
Flashermac
I didn't know that Taco Bell was here. When did that happen? Every Thai I know who'd studied in the US loved Taco Bell. A friend looked into starting one here, but Taco Bell was demanding one million baht just for the rights to a single franchise. Really great advertising when no one even knows Taco Bell is in Bangkok. . p.s. I once had tuna tacos at a Cesar Chavez fund raiser in San Francisco many years ago. They were great. So what's the big deal over beef?
radioman
A million baht per franchise is tiny tiny. A million dollars might be more like it, especially today
passingthru69
And no re fried beans either I think I read in a prior post somewhere How is one to have a Burrito grilled steak without the re fried beans. Oh hold the green paste.. In the States we call it imatation Mexican food. The hot sauce is good for clearing out your system. Works better than exlax
passingthru69
Flashermac, they sell fish tacos in the States. Basically battered deep fried fish in a taco shell I believe. I don't eat fish, but the places that sell them, seem to do well

It's not the real thing, but it's better than what passes for Mexican in Thailand. I just avoid the things Taco Bell has invented and passes off as Mexican. 6 hours ago, passingthru69 said:
