and April Fools has past, I comment on this, from Coconuts Bangkok:

Thai Cops threaten April foolers - https://coconuts.co/bangkok/news/no-kidding-thai-police-threaten-to-jail-april-fool-pranksters/

COVID-19 is no laughing matter, and anyone was thinking of joking about it for April Fool’s Day faces jail time, Thai police threatened today.

As health officials reported another 120 cases and two deaths this morning, police authorities were warning that anyone pretending to be infected or making virus-related jokes faces up to a THB100,000 fine or five years in prison.

Col. Siriwat Deepor of Technology Crime Suppression Division said anyone found guilty of spreading fear or “damaging the country’s image” online will be penalized under both the recently enacted Emergency Decree and the Computer Crime Act.

Last month they threatened to prosecute a celeb who took to social media to say he had become infected, most likely at an army-owned boxing stadium. They backed off after confirming he was indeed sick.

Both Thailand and India have threatened to prosecute any pranksters this April Fool’s Day.

K-Pop star sorry for coronavirus April fool's joke

K-pop star Kim Jaejoong has apologised for posting on Instagram that he was in hospital having contracted Covid-19, admitting it was an April fool's joke.

The singer told fans he had caught the virus after "ignoring" government warnings and "living carelessly".

In a subsequent post, he claimed he had simply wanted to raise awareness of the virus.

But the now-deleted joke appears to have backfired with many of his 1.9m followers voicing their disapproval.

"How can you pull a prank like this when the situation right now is so serious?" one fan responded. "It's really disappointing."

South Korea was one of the first countries hit by coronavirus, and it is believed to have killed 165 people there so far.
