Or many are used for cheap labor (more often than not never paid) and then sent back.

There is currently a large construction project on Sukhumvit between Sois 9 and 11. All Burmese labor living in these squalid camps in behind the site.

Unregistered? That number seems too high.  The few Burmese maids that I have been associated with - all were registered.

Correct it was a Typo 25k not 250k too many zeros, must be Parkinson’s in my typing finger

The ones I have known, ex wife’s maid and other members of family’s maids were all unregistered
