The government will launch the blanket, three-channel COVID-19 inoculation campaign, including walk-in services, next month.

Deputy government spokeswoman Traisuree Traisoranakul said on Friday that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha wants to inoculate as many people as possible, to minimize the risk of infection, severe illness and fatalities.

Blanket vaccinations will begin in June through online registration via the Mor Prom (doctors ready) app, group registration through public health volunteers, other groups of officials or private companies and walk-ins.

In which Thailand is ahead of NZ, wherein we're not getting more than a dribble of vaccines presently and the general populace looks like having access in July/August/whenever.

But then we have no Covid in the community at present, though we did find some in Wellington's sewage water the other day.

Bollox,

These so called “walk-in” services in Shopping Malls etc have been muted for about a month, typical government all talk and no action.

It is like the so called “ Free Vaccinations” for all foreigners, what it does not say is registration is not yet open to foreigners and vaccinations will only start once all Thais are vaccinated

Also when will they realize people don’t want Sinovac

Atrocious and confusing with various statements about their plans from different sources over a 2 week period. I managed to register on the Mor Prom app with my tax number no having a pink card. Have an appt for June14 but have no idea if they will be vaccinating foreigners or not. Going by government 'plans' yes, no, yes but only after all the Thais but before the homeless and beggars. As usual the reality on the ground will differ from what the government says and will change from place to place. Our local walk in centre has been chosen- a large PTT petrol station. Things have been given out there before, but if not there in the first ten minutes they run out, probably be the same story.

If sinovac is all that's on offer I will have it and get a better one later. Sinovac is obviously not as good as the others, but should keep you out of the ICU if it came to it

Out of close to 1.4 million doses of AstraZeneca that have been administered in Australia, 11 people have developed TTS, with one fatality that is currently under investigation by the coroner.

Professor Skerritt said that a number of those who developed the rare syndrome had ‘quite serious and significant underlying health conditions’.

He also noted that people with pre-existing clotting conditions did not appear to be at an increased risk of developing TTS.

‘The adverse event remains very rare. It remains at a frequency that’s similar to that reported by other countries using AstraZeneca vaccine,’ Professor Skerritt said.

Tasmania’s Acting Director of Public Health Dr Scott McKeown said the state’s Department of Health has convened an expert alert advisory panel to review the case of the 70-year-old man who developed the syndrome.

Not exactly giving Australians blood clots as you put it

SINOVAC is only 79% efficient compared to 97% for AstraZeneca and Pfizer.

In case any of the esteemed members wish to deepen their knowledge about Covid vaccines and evaluation of their efficiency. Read this and let us know what you think about it.

Whatever the individual merits may be, in case there would only be a Chinese product, the world would jump on it. It is a miracle what happened on that sector within a year or 2, we should be grateful. Received my second Biontec shot on Friday, may Allah bless the 2 Turkish immigrants who made it happen. They contracted Pfizer to coproduce and sell it worldwide, a wise decission.
