"I guess it feels like we won. But it feels like the end of the movie, where the characters are bloodied and bedraggled with a Michael Bay explosion behind them," the worker said. "We could see this was coming, but in the meantime, he's f***ing destroyed the company." Just desserts, for both parties. :: Twitter - for spreading all sorts of bull shit misinformation, gossip, lies, untruths, etc etc etc... Musk - for thinking that he can control the world with his little finger..
Mekong
From the article Responding to Musk's attempted withdrawal, Twitter Chairman Bret Taylor signalled the company would go to court in an effort to force him to go through with the deal. and Meanwhile, an anonymous Twitter employee told NBC News Musk's decision felt like a victory, of sorts. "I guess it feels like we won. But it feels like the end of the movie, where the characters are bloodied and bedraggled with a Michael Bay explosion behind them," the worker said. So which is it, the Company claims they want to force the deal through and a woke employee, who probably had absolutely no involvement in negotiations claims to have been through a battle in stopping the takeover. So which is it? No wonder The New York Times reports that an internal memo has been sent to Twitter's employees asking them to refrain from commenting publicly or privately
baa99
I thought there is a billion $ cancellation fee Musk now owes Twitter. Maybe that is what Twitter is going to court to enforce.
Mekong
The 1 Million break up fee goes both ways. Musk made the offer but waived “due diligence” thereby making his argument over spam accounts irrelevant, but if Twitter board votes against sale to musk or sells to someone else then they owe musk 1 Million. I don’t think Musk is too worried over 1 Million, he is worth 250 Billion, so that is like a Millionaire having to pay $4, or $1 to someone with $250,000, not exactly going to break the bank.
