I am in Country so cautious of clicking on anything which requires ID but I would be interested to know what questions are being asked, are they pertinent such as  -

  • How do you feel about 90 day reporting
  • Your thoughts on not being able to own land
  • Hos do foreigners feel about dual pricing
  • etc

You know real questions that affect expats, not smarmy parmy Thai Culture questions.

Could you cut n paste the Questions for us?

As I happen to have another unused googlie thingie, I will.

I spent some time formatting this for the reading, you will have to imagine little radio buttons, for the clicking on, next to the various options.

Undrinking as we are, you owe me a beer.

Cheers Coss, as expected no groundbreaking questions then.

Are taking the piss with part 4 Q.7 & Q.10

Q.7.  Thailand is a Country that promotes democracy

Q.10. Thai People are trustworthy

A Military regime when you can be locked up for demanding reforms and a government who perpetually lie.

I am surprised that there isn’t a suffix

Just badly worded, what is to be expected coming from Thai Government

1. Working in the media industry (choose one)
..........(a) Television
..........(b) Radio
..........(c) Print
..........(d) Online
..........(e) Other
(2) Working in an embassy (choose one)
..........(a) Diplomatic level

(3) Working in an international organization

Other:

The last line “Other” should read “(5) Other” to make survey all inclusive

Just read the blurb in link Coss Posted “The link was launched on the PR Thai Government Facebook page today, inviting people to click and fill out a questionnaire that they estimate takes about 15 minutes to finish.” Took me less than 5 minutes, don’t know where the 15 comes from

I'm not sure

What is it you think they meant to say?

Where did you hear about the survey maybe?

Why the embassy questions

These are their words:

"This questionnaire is developed to evaluate the effectiveness of public relations campaign operated by Thailand’s Government Public Relations Department and related governmental agencies.  The campaign aims to create awareness and build confidence in important Thai government policies among foreigners in Thailand, as well as generate positive image of Thailand as a country.
As a potential target of this campaign, you are invited to complete this survey.  It should take no more than 15 minutes.  Your response will be treated confidentially, and will be analyzed on the macro level with no identification of any individuals."

_____

They are justifying their jobs.

And creating the survey, they say  "create awareness and build confidence" or in my language:  find Farangs and have them say nice things.

Saying "As a potential target of this campaign, you are invited..." in my language means: now we have your attention, help us identify you and give us your opinions.

You know that there can't be many Farangs who work in TV, Radio, or an Embassy etc, that the Thai government doesn't already know about. And once they have the age, they'll be able to pin the dude down, quite quickly.

So like most authoritarian folk, they're trying to assemble a "Friendly" and a "Not Friendly" list.

If I were a Farang in Thailand I'd do the survey and tell them how absolutely wonderful they all were.
