The daughter of Thailand's self-exiled former leader Thaksin Shinawatra has declared her readiness to run for prime minister in an election this year, as the main opposition seeks to regain power after being ousted in a coup eight years ago.

Paetongtarn Shinawatra, whose father Thaksin and aunt Yingluck Shinawatra both led governments toppled by the army, will run under the Pheu Thai Party, the latest incarnation of a populist movement founded by her billionaire family two decades ago......

Oh Joy...

The bloke who was the only one ever to do stuff for rural and poor masses?

Why do you think the military hate him,

He gave away shitloads,

The joke is he awarded himself favours to his satellite company

The reality is ThaiCom ended up with him as PM paying MORE than pretty much any other satellite company in the world

I know most farang are conservative voters, but at some time you need to stop loving the status qoi and see the alternatives

That all said

She shouldn't run, bring in some new blood

Or if there is an alternative such as Future Forward Party, the Military and the Royalists make things up to get them disbarred.

One prominent case against the party, which the Constitutional Court accepted in July 2019, alleged that FFP sought to overthrow the monarchy. As evidence, the resemblance between the party's triangular symbol and that of the Illuminati was cited. I will let you judge if any way similar

Hi,

>Or if there is an alternative such as Future Forward Party, the Military and the Royalists make things up to get them disbarred.

Exactly. Neither party will really allow anyone else to come into this.
I like neither Prayuth or Thaksin, but unfortunately no alternative is available. FFP seemed decent, but of course too big of a threat, so they come up with some trumped up charges to get rid of them.

Sanuk!
