Actually, I prefer to sit there just taking in the view, rather than being distracted by some bar girl's witterings, but I remember one cute AW girl being asked by the mamasan to sit with a couple of young guys sitting on the seat just forward of me. She looked at me imploringly - it was obvious that she didn't want to sit down with them. I made as if I wanted to talk to her and so she had her excuse to come over to me instead. When she was sat down, I asked why she didn't want to sit with them. After all, they were young, handsome guys with money. Truth told, they were younger and better-looking and flashing more cash around than me. She made grabbing motions with her hands. She didn't like to be groped in the bar.. The good and bad reviews allows people to express their differences and individualities. It comes with the territory. We are entitled to express our opinions because we are paiying for it. Just because she is a poor and disadvantaged girl will not allow her to get breaks. This is a business and she is a professional service provider. Performance/presentation decides whether she be good or bad at what she does. Remember, she elected to go into this field of work. She is on stage bright lights and all though in the case of gogos, maybe not so bright lights (to keep those scars and blotches hiidden).......... All in fun in love and war...... Very Lovely but total non performer wanted to sleep so kicked her out with 500 baht, well 1000 as she kept crying. No doubt the tears magically dried. Cant remember her name, If I remember correctly I took her for a drink in Playskool or whatever it is called as her friends were there. BTW the most Gorgous creature I have ever seen was in Pattaya last april I literally just slung the brakes on the bike and stopped and stared. A nine maybe a nine and a half(Very tough scorer). She stood out from the rest like a cat walk model in a pig pen. Without doubt one of the most beautiful woman I have seen anywhere anytime. Only one problem it was 2.30AM just down from marine Disco she didnt have a date. Big head overrode little head and I accelerated out of there. She just had to be a Katoie! I didnt want to stick around because if I had little head would of turned that bike around with a cry of so what! Being gay with "her" would I think of been worth it! Saw a lot of very attractive Katoies that trip all sprinkled along beach road. I guess the Japanese tourists arnt coming so often. It was very annoying as you would see a good looking girl and slow down to find out that it wasnt agirl. However the "lady" mentioned previously withstood close examination, but just too good. I'm sure I can crack through that ice.... Regarding scars, lots of the girls have scars on their upper arms from shots as a baby. I do too on my left upper arm, it's about the size of a nickel, but the scar is the same color as my skin (and not raised) so it's hard to see. I haven't figured out what happened yet but my chick from AW, 'Girl A' got beat up from what it sounds like. Her story (which is probably half the truth) was that she went out with a freind and her friend's Thai customer. They all went back to his special short time apartment near Pratunam for a few drinks. 'Girl A' went to the toilet and when she came out the friend was gone and the Thai guy was there- who then said that she had to have sex with him as he gave the other girl 2000 Baht and she left. She refused and he got violent. Is it any wonder they get hardcore? Who knows what the actual truth is but the bruises are real and she had to take a couple of days off work. It's not the first time I've heard such a story- before I thought the bar would take care of the girls and help provide for their safety but the bars' biggest effort in doing so seems to be allowing them to take a day or two off to heal. Because of all the recent hype, I went there last Thursday at about 9:00 and wasn't at all impressed with the talent. I only stayed for about 30 mins and it didn't get any better. Things change so quickly, and guys have such different tastes in girls, the only thing I take seriously about posts on bars/gogos is potential rip-offs and such. You just cannot pop in once or twice and say ewwww, what a bunch of dogs. I know many of you don't have the luxury we residents have of becoming regulars of a particular gogo bar. You are here a limited time and like to hit as many spots as you can. When I find a bar I like, I go back. Yes, the ladies have a lot to do with "I Like." But, there are other things as well. To me Angelwitch has all those things and that's why I call it my favorite gogo bar in Bangkok. When I was writing the gogo bar reviews for the paysite, the five factors that I considered for my ratings were: Bar setup (lighting, stage placement, etc.) Ladies (dancers) Staff (waitresses, mamasan, manager, etc.) Music (includes DJ) Fun Factor (hard to describe, but you know it when you see it - kinda like pornography, I guess). Yes, all of these are purely subjective, and subject for debate, but I think the voting system Khun Sanuk has put up adds a bit of objectivity to the mix. ALHOLK Posted August 29, 2002 Report Share Posted August 29, 2002 Hi! Another point worth mentioning is that a bar that is great for expats might not be all that fun for an infrequent tourist. I have been to several bars where the girls weren't interested in a customer that they know will be there for two nights at the most while the bar is full of potential boyfriends.
