lopburi3
Suspect much of this is the need for CAT to find new lines out of Thailand to replace Teleglobe as reported in todays Bangkok Post. All eggs are now in one basket.
Adams167
Yes, this is my concern too. I use Inet, and they are usually very much on the ball as far as informing subscribers about slowdowns related to line breaks and so forth but to date I have had no notification from them at all. My connection has been very slow for 5 or 6 days now and it is really putting a crimp on business, Email etc..
lopburi3
INET sent the following yesterday Thai time: "We recently added a new 45Mbps AT&T circuit to our international bandwidth and upgraded our domestic circuit to CAT's gateway (NIX) from 70Mbps to 100Mbps. However, due to uncheduled maintenance on both the APCN and SMW-3 submarince cables we are currently experiencing some slow response to some international sites at peak times. We regret any inconvenience this causes."
