Soi Cowboy Very Quiet

Went for a nosey to Soi Cowboy this evening. Doubt if I have ever seen it so quiet.

The large neon signs above bar awnings are off. About 1/4 of bars were not open. Those bars which were open didn't have many staff and there weren't that many customers. Some bars had music at a low volume, others had no music.

This photo was taken after 9:00 PM.

Yes I strolled through as well. There was literally "behind closed doors" some ribald activity albeit very subdued. It remains as such for 15 days until 28th I believe

then its back on. The exception was "that bar" around the corner which had girls dancing in various forms of black nighties...yawn...fugly bunch

I then did the old timie walk up to the Termae which I have not been in for well over 5 years..It was jammed. I was not inspired to

activate but it was entertaining.

Is the stickman back in BKK?

Hi,

"Do the Thais realize this symbolizes something else?"

From the Wikipedia page on ribbons (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_awareness_ribbons):

"A black ribbon is typically used as a sign of mourning or otherwise in memoriam.[110] A black ribbon has also been used for awareness on POW/MIAs,[110] Wiccan/Pagan rights,[111] melanoma,[112] and narcolepsy,[113] as well as for an anti-violence campaign in New Zealand.[114] Recently a black ribbon has also been used to signify support for male domestic violence victims, or understanding that there are men that suffer from domestic violence as well."

Sanuk!
