Stickman Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 When I got my new a passport and went to Immigration to get the visas transferred to the new one they wanted a letter from the NZ Embassy, which fortunately they had given me. I was in and out in 20 minutes - so I guess it depends on the time of day you go in. I was there late afternoon.
khunsanuk Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 Hi, Just did this last week. No letter from my embassy. I wasted 3 hrs on this, mainly because the asshole behind the initial counter send me to the wrong fucking desk! After waiting 1.5hrs+ it finally was my turn, only to be told to go to another desk... and of course another fucking queue. Had to get a re-entry permit after that as well. Spend a total of 4.5 hrs at Immigration Sanuk!
Palatkik Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 I had a similar experience with the Suan Plu immigration girls who hand out the queue tickets at the entrance. They casually looked in my pp without saying a word and gave me a ticket for the wrong queue. I noticed this when I saw the counter inside so went back and complained before wasting time in the wrong queue. The two ticket maestros complained to each other to the effect of what the heck is this dumb arsehole back here for, and then re reading my pp decided to give me another ticket without a word being said. Perhaps the Swampepoom Immigration smile program needs extended to Suan Plu as well.
