It's definitely not Fosters. We're actually spoiled for choice. We have Lagers, Ales, Craft Beers by the hundreds. There's a Pub I used to go to that had 50+ beers on tap. It's also a state by state thing. But a few favorites would be Tooheys New, VB, Carlton Drought, Hahn Super-dry, Coopers Pale Ale, XXXX (because Queenslander can't spell) and the list goes on. My choice is Pure Blonde which is low carb.

I need a decent beer here in the states. I am no longer able to find such, everything is “double infused IPAs,,,” all of which suck…in an attempt to get a decent, reasonably priced lager, I have resumed brewing my own…

Coopers extra stout is a fine thing, neck and neck with Guinness.

The Death of Bunny Munro [2025 TV]
A look at the life of a sex-addict traveling salesman who uses his door-to-door beauty products to meet women. This adaptation of Nick Cave’s novel, is a slippery, off-kilter beast full of disturbing themes and characters. The leads deranged, thoroughly unhinged performance is captivating. Good six part mini series that comes with a great soundtrack.

The Running Man [2025 Movie]
A man joins a game show in which contestants, allowed to flee anywhere in the world, are pursued by "hunters" hired to kill them. Based on a Stephen King novel, this slick futuristic action flick is pure mindless popcorn.

Train Dreams [2025 Movie]
Based on Denis Johnson's popular novella, Train Dreams is the moving portrait of Robert Grainier, a logger and railroad worker who leads a life of unexpected depth and beauty in the rapidly-changing America of the early 20th Century. Old school style production with a Terrence Malick vibe about it, that is poetic, soulful, wonderfully made, almost meditative in style. One of the years great movie experiences.

The Mastermind 2025

In 1970, failed architect James Blaine Mooney and cohorts wander into a museum in broad daylight and steal four paintings. When holding onto the art proves more difficult than stealing them, Mooney is relegated to a life on the run.

Most of this movie was quite good, I'm not sure I Grokked the ending. You see it, maybe it's just me.
