Coss Posted September 11, 2025 Report Posted September 11, 2025 Well spotted! The quote "Gun deaths in exchange for the preservation of Second Amendment Rights is a part of America's reality," referring to the 2023 shooting at Christian Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee, was said by Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA. He expressed that having an armed citizenry comes with a cost, including some gun deaths, but considered it a rational trade-off to protect Second Amendment rights and other freedoms. Kirk stated this perspective in the aftermath of the shooting which claimed six lives, including three children and three adults. https://economictimes.com/news/international/us/past-gun-death-remarks-of-charlie-kirk-trump-ally-and-co-founder-of-turning-point-usa-who-was-shot-at-utah-college-event-will-shock-you/articleshow/123816745.cms Oh the irony!
bust Posted September 11, 2025 Report Posted September 11, 2025 Got me thinking what's worse. Gun Crime or Hate Speeches. Both ended Kirk
Coss Posted September 11, 2025 Report Posted September 11, 2025 Rumours that: 'the released suspect was suffering from a case of mistaken Identity and had shot Charlie Kirk in error, thinking that he was Donald Trump. And that the FBI then released him and gave him 3 photos of DJT.' are incorrect.
buffalo_bill Posted September 11, 2025 Report Posted September 11, 2025 After studying the works of this man he was obviously a fundamental part of the MAGA gang whose whole existence is based on lies and white supremacy. Donald says he is praying nonstop. Kirk therefore is in heaven now which I fully appreciate although generally I am of course against killing people. The man seems to have strongly supported the Second Amendmend, insofar his dreams have come true.
bust Posted September 11, 2025 Report Posted September 11, 2025 Tonight, I ask all Americans to commit themselves to the American values for which Charlie Kirk lived and died," Trump said. Those values are kind of why he was killed in the first place. Pretty graphic video. Straight through the jugular.
bust Posted September 12, 2025 Report Posted September 12, 2025 Tyler Robinson, 22, in custody after manhunt for conservative activist Charlie Kirk's killer Tyler Robinson, 22, is suspected of shooting conservative activist Charlie Kirk. (Utah Governor's Office via AP) Authorities in Utah have arrested a man accused of killing right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk. The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson. Bullet casings found with the suspected murder weapon were allegedly inscribed with anti-fascist slogans and other messages. The suspect in custody over the assassination of Charlie Kirk has been confirmed as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old man from Utah. Mr Robinson was taken into custody on Thursday night, about 33 hours after Mr Kirk's murder, FBI Director Kash Patel told a press conference. "We got him," Utah Governor Spencer Cox said. The confirmation came after US President Donald Trump used a TV appearance to announce a suspect was in custody. He said he had been told a minister and the suspect's father had been involved in turning him in. "The father convinced the son: "This is it,'" Mr Trump told Fox News. Charlie Kirk was taking questions from a crowd of university students when he was shot. Authorities later said messages were inscribed in bullet casings found with the rifle believed to be the murder weapon. One of the inscriptions said: "Hey fascist, catch." Another said: "If you read this, you are gay LMAO?" A third said: "Oh, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Ciao," a likely reference to an anti-fascist Italian folk song. Charlie Kirk was speaking at Utah Valley University when he was shot. Mr Cox told reporters Mr Robinson had confessed to a family friend. "Robinson reached out to a family friend who contacted the Washington County Sheriff's Office with information that Robinson had confessed to them or implied that he had committed the incident," he said. Photo shows Trump stands in front of a US flag saluting In a country with more guns than people, an increasingly violent and threatening public discourse is creating serious dangers. A family member told authorities Mr Robinson had become more political in recent years and had spoken in a disparaging manner about Mr Kirk, Mr Cox said. "The family member referenced a recent incident in which Robinson came to dinner prior to September 10," he said. "In the conversation with another family member, Mr Robinson mentioned Charlie Kirk was coming to UVU [Utah Valley University] … the family member also stated Kirk was full of hate and spreading hate." Mr Cox said the suspect would be charged soon. He said forensic evidence was being evaluated and the investigation was ongoing. A memorial was set up at Orem City Center Park, in the Utah city where Charlie Kirk was shot. Mr Trump told Fox News: "I hope he gets the death penalty." The suspected murder weapon, a bolt action rifle, was found on Thursday in an area where the killer was believed to have fled. Mr Kirk was shot while speaking at the university a day earlier, in what authorities called a political assassination. He was at the campus as part of a national tour of universities to hold public debates with progressive students. Video taken just after the shooting showed a person running across the roof of a campus building. Mr Kirk's shooting follows a number of apparently politically motivated attacks in the US in recent years, including apparent assassination attempts on Mr Trump last year. They also include the shootings of two Democratic Minnesota politicians and their spouses in June, an arson attack on the home of Democratic Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro in April, and the 2022 hammer attack on the husband of Democratic former house speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Coss Posted September 12, 2025 Report Posted September 12, 2025 1 hour ago, bust said: Mr Robinson was taken into custody on Thursday night, about 33 hours after Mr Kirk's murder, FBI Director Kash Patel told a press conference. Is this same guy Patel said they'd got earlier in the day, or a different one? And the Mussolini imagery and stylings around Trump/Kirk etc is too similar to facist propaganda to ignore.
Coss Posted September 12, 2025 Report Posted September 12, 2025 And the know-it-alls have begun - "I saw it on the internet so it's true1" ___ Misinformation about the man arrested for the murder of Charlie Kirk has swirled on the social media platform X today. Posts falsely claim suspect Tyler Robinson is seen in a photo wearing a shirt associated with the Democratic Socialists of America. - Fact: The photo shows a different man who has no connection to the murder. Users have shared false claims that federal records show Robinson was a donor to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2020. - Fact: The actual donor is a different man with the same first and last name; the suspect has no record of federal election donations. A doctored image purports to show Robinson wearing a pro-Trump shirt. - Fact: The image was created from a photo of Robinson wearing a plain shirt without any political messages. Users have falsely claimed Robinson is a registered Republican. - Fact: Robinson is registered as unaffiliated with a political party and is listed as “inactive,” meaning he hasn’t voted in either of the last two general elections. Posts falsely claiming Robinson’s father works or worked in the sheriff’s office in Washington County, Utah. - Fact: The sheriff’s office issued a statement debunking the claim, saying a retired deputy who also has the last name Robinson is “NOT connected or related to” the suspect. ___ Could it be that the Shooter, this Tyler Robinson, is just a "Good Guy with a gun"? a "Good Samaritan, sent by god to protect us from Evil"? And so it goes...
