My freshman year in Uni, I had a Poly Sci class with Bobby Seal.He was finishing up a degree and then went on to teach at the same UNI. Senior year, Eldridge Cleaver came to speak, odd guy, had gotton conservative and religious. He was sponsored by the Rev. Moon group. The Panthers had a start here in Oakland and there was “The New Black Panthers” a few years back, more community organized. The Panthers did a lot of good work, which is why J. Edgar Hoover hated them and wanted them dead…also because they were black guys standing up for themselves…

There was also a “vinyl lounge “ over on 17th and Castro, but it was more of an open seating area. As for the Candy Mountain decor, it could really use a remodel, still that late 70’s tacky set up with a hint of vintage neon…

At the occasion of a rare moment showing unity the EU has decided to suspend the trade agreement USA/EU offering the USA freedom of all tariffs and the EU to pay 15 % on I believe everything. And should Donald come along with any giant tariffs they will impose same same on US imports. Should all this get out of hand US based internet monsters shall have to pay heavy taxes on their EU earnings. Interesting times ahead. Xi and Wladimir laughing their ass off again.

For example the kingdom of Belgium is missing on his list of additional tariffs meaning anything from US could be shipped to Belgium free from tariffs and further delivered to any other EU member free from anything. What President Trump of the United States further underestimates is the economical power of the EU representing 450 Million citizens, many of them doing much better that the average US citizen. Driving in my ( Italian) motorcar this morning I had the dubious pleasure to listen to the US secretary of Finance, name is Scott Bessent. He repeatedly said the Europeans are a weak bunch of countries. I would agree with him on the military side but, Khun Scott, if only the German Federal Bank would refrain from buying more US treasuries due to doubtful prospects looking into the future, Khun Scott would have to pay more than the current 4,15 % interest and Donald might probably further increase tariffs or whatever to cover the loss.
