Always thought he was a clown even when he was on The Apprentice and the WWF with his battle with that other goose. And then he threw his toys out of his cote when he found out Gwen Stefani was being paid more than Trump to appear on The Voice than he was on The Apprentice. But then he saw an opportunity to exploit the gullibility of Americans and the rest is history. Reality most of the world which actually does exist outside the USA laugh at him and laugh at his supporters equally. That's the sad part they all fell for a grift. Well at least 49.8% of those who voted did. To many, Trump represented an end to things they found offensive. One of the big ones being DEI or Diversity, equality and inclusion. Biden said when he was looking for a running mate that he would pick a woman of color, many thought he should have picked the best candidate/successor, he did not. Trump played on this and the idea that so many people were in danger of losing “THEIR” country and “THEIR” way of life. My wife and I took a road trip from San Francisco to Mt. Rushmore and Yellowstone. Trump stores all over the place, the feeling being that the country was being over run by illegals and homos. Neither is true, but both were given a platform that many objected to. I for 1, while not a trump supporter, objected to the fag flag being flown at government buildings and embassies around the world. I also object to having to sit through 3 hours of DEI indoctrination every year, with the emphasis on Gays and “trans.” I happen to think you cannot change who you are/what you were born as, cannot change your gender anymore than you can change your race. Yet, I am forced to take this class where I am told I am wrong ignorant etc…. I have had to work with a lot of these people over the years, even the gays don’t get the trans, many of whom are just plain ticking time bombs. We are paid to fix airplanes, not talk about you and “your journey…” So all this said, Trump played to it, gave the “disenfranchised white guys” a voice as well as those who felt marginalized for being white and conservative. Trump played to crowd who has all seen, or claims to have seen anyway, the welfare mom with 64 kids going to the super market in her Lexus and buying prime rib and lobster with her food stamps! The old people who worked hard all their lives to inherit their fortunes who will be damned if anyone will take it away from them via “socialism.” The part I really don’t get is all the Latino men who were in support of trump mainly as a “hell no” to a woman leader. The swing voters are the ones who pretty much determine the presidential race and they may have really fucked us…but then the alternative wasn’t much better, no real platform or agenda/plan.
