buffalo_bill Posted February 28, 2025 Report Posted February 28, 2025 Watch for example on CNN how the meeting went in the sacred Oval Office and imagine Putin and cronies laughing their asses off . The US are becoming a banana republic with these idiots .
Coss Posted February 28, 2025 Report Posted February 28, 2025 Yes, it would be funny if it weren't so serious for the rest of the world... And yet still very funny. 5 bullet points (or as 'mericans know them - 'bullets') from this debacle: A Russian state media reporter gained entry to the Oval Office for Trump-Zelensky sit-down Trump and Vance erupt at Zelensky in tense Oval Office meeting "Thank you America," Zelensky posts after Trump orders him to leave White House DOJ releases flight logs, names associated with Jeffrey Epstein US intel shows Russia and China are attempting to recruit disgruntled federal employees, sources say Not a bullet point, but notable never the less: FBI Director Kash Patel said in part: “The FBI is entering a new era — one that will be defined by integrity, accountability, and the unwavering pursuit of justice.” How much does Donald trust Kash and vice versa? ________________ Coss comment: on the now failed meeting between Trump, Vance and Zelensky: Donald needed back up, he could not have the meeting solo, cause he screwed up with France and Britain in recent days ... What do bullies do when they can't be effective? get his/her/their crew to help bully. So where is the much vaunted peace deal, with unprecedented access to rare earth and minerals for the U.S.A.? Donald promised, day one.... (Putin say "NO") ________________
Coss Posted February 28, 2025 Report Posted February 28, 2025 dear 'mericans, Just a piece of free advice from a chap that resides in a country that is one of your allies: It might be time to change your negotiator. the one you've got isn't winning. Anyone will do, Mitchell McConnell, Barack Obama, Steve Scalise, Arnold Schwarzenegger, just grit your teeth and get someone.
Coss Posted February 28, 2025 Report Posted February 28, 2025 Trump to Zelenskyy: "Don't tell us what we're gonna feel. You're in no position to dictate that. You're in no position to dictate what we're gonna feel. We're gonna feel very good and very strong. You're right now not in a very good position. You're gambling with World War 3." Zelensky did err here, everyone knows that you can't tell a 13 yr old girl anything about feelings.
Old Hippie Posted March 2, 2025 Report Posted March 2, 2025 Just a thought for discussion here, trump pointed out that Ukraine “… have been done in 2 weeks if it wasn’t for us…” Zelensky said “…I know, 3 days, I heard it from Putin already…” Eh…just a question here, if/when trump meets with Netanyahu, would he be wrong to say to him “…Israel would be done in 2 weeks if it wasn’t for us, where is the gratitude..?” Discuss… 1

Sticking with Ukraine and their pro west elected leader is in the best interests of the USA for. A few simple reasons, maybe the greatest of which is we aren’t alienating our other allies by showing we will reneg on deals and help bully a country too submit to another country that is basically a thorn in the ass of democracy… yes yes, USA is not all good etc aside, trump made a serious blunder here…
Coss Posted March 2, 2025 Report Posted March 2, 2025 I was ambivalent about Zelensky, nice guy with a difficult job, etc. Then this before the big spat: Before their ugly clash, Zelensky, who was dressed in his trademark clothes, was asked by a reporter why he was not wearing a suit to the meeting in the United States' "highest level" office. "Why don't you wear a suit? Do you own a suit?" he asked, leaving Trump, US Vice President JD Vance and other senior officials in the room in splits. "Do you have a problem?" Zelensky shot back at the reporter. "A lot of Americans have a problem with who don't respect the dress code of the Oval office," the reporter responded. Zelensky then said he would wear a suit after the Russia-Ukraine war, which broke out in 2022, finishes. "I will wear a (suit) costume after this war finishes, yes. Maybe something like yours, yes, maybe something better. I don't know, we will see. Maybe something cheaper. Thank you," he responded. His training in Comedy coming to the fore. Now I've got a bit if admiration. The reporter who attacked Zelensky over the suit, is a Trumpanzee, Brian Glenn, who incidentally, just happens to be the boyfriend of far-Right congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. Does Trump's wink to Marjorie Taylor Green's reporter boyfriend Brian Glenn prove the White House bust-up with Zelensky was a 'planned political mugging'? 1

Good Lad, we really do like America down here, and most all of my life has been on the bandwagon (trombone). Though in WWII we had a saying, about the U.S. servicemen who R&R'd here, "Over-paid, over-sexed, and over here". Of course a lot of our fellas were in one Theatre or another, so the U.S. guys were popular. I might be 1/2 yank excepting the DNA says Nordic. 1
