Coss
I'm considering a long trip, VTE -xxx -xxx -AKL and coz it's cheap and as noted elsewhere, there are concerns about flying these days, due to aircraft type and human service. Anyone had experience with China Southern Airlines? Because I trust you lot, more that some online Ai driven marketing fluff, masquerading as user reports. Old Hippie
You’ll probably get there…they have a decent record and they have a lot of focused maintenance and oversight from the Chinese government.
think_too_mut
I would never, if there is a choice, chose any airline other than Japan Airlines, ANA, Singapore, Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways. Any Europian or American airlines are rubbish. They have cut it to the bone. Even non airline Western companies, not related to air transport , IT, call that "UAL-ing", what shit United Airlines made of themselves.

Just a heads up, Thai, which I always enjoyed flying on, lost their privileges to fly within or 2 and from the USA due to poor maintenance standards…seems they cut a few corners during their restructuring…

I remember the article. THAI were to cease USA flights anyway, it was portrayed as a THAI business decission. Still, a black eye on THAI.
My Penis is hungry
I booked a boxer to come to Oz today for a fight, Interesting to learn Batik Air was about half the cost and one stop less than Qantas. I still used Qantas as I need reliability but seems to be an option to the future.

As of yet, they Are still not up to muster according the USAFAA…who if you ask me are also a bunch of numb nutted chuckle fucks…All this concern about “over sight and keeping up standards yet allow work offshored to 3rd world countries where there are few if any licensed mechanics and NO scrutiny from the aforementioned USAFAA… We used to do contract on engines we sold to Thai and also service calls when we flew in to BKK, I always thought Thai Airways technicians were pretty sharp guys and took things very seriously. Apparently, according to trade journals, the issues are caused at the top…Good airline, I enjoyed flying on them and would fly them again anytime.
think_too_mut
QANTAS VH-OJA, Boeing 747. Retired, 2017 at the Wollongong airport museum. Open for visitors. That machine transporterd my humble body 3 times from Sydney to Los Angeles. Travelled at corporate expense, on the upper deck. They flew the aircraft with only 20 tons of fuel, the distance from Sydney to Wollongong is about 80km and short runway. Our daughter, with Rolls Royce engines, my first job as a programmer.
