Nothing excites me food wise these days…go really sick 4 days ago and can’t seem to get my appetite back. We went to Buri Ram yesterday and picked up some pizza, very good Pizza Italy or something, I’ll get the details later, had some pastas and olives etc to take home. Pizza was very fresh and very good, Staff was awesome…today after photographing elephants in a sanctuary, we ate Issaarn sausage and while was awesome tasting, something was off…stopp for food near the bus terminal and that was it…again. Feel ok now, but just bored with food…beer too oddly…

The number of times my better half has been ill from eating Isaan sausage makes me think it's part of the fun. No way I'll touch it.

We found them (the saussages) in a Thai food shop in Japan. Frozen, passed all the rigorous imported meat checks. Four different flavours from diffrent Thai Isan localities.
The price was like 300 THB per pack.
The nominal owner of the shop is a Japanese oldie. When my wife asked questions, he put her (mobile) to talk to his Thai wife. He was just minding the shop.
I enjoyed the saussages, knowing nothing bad would happen if the saussages were allowed in Japan.

Never had Isaan sausages but do remember my first time to partake in the consumption of dog was in Northeast Thailand. Had it unknowingly which was probably the only way I would have tried it. Surprisingly not bad. No different to beef jerky.

In Bangkok, there is everywhere, fried rice with Isan saussages. The saussages, sour and chilli, chopped, not in abundance but noticable in the meal, always liked that.

I’ve had the Fried rice with Chinese sausage, good…Issaarn sausages with sticky rice can be good…Mann wife make decent ones at home…oddly, this is one food that no matter how good it tastes, is usually going to make me sick…

Japan. This is what my wife, a certified Thai cousine cook is serving to Japanese salary men. 120 meals week days, lunch time. The price is about (now) 6 US dollars or 10 AUS dollars.
Even tom yum kung is is included. She is one of 3 cooks in the establisment.

At work, since 2013, shifts, working from home we were exchanging what we eat over weekends. Other team members were envious that I have a Thai restaurant coming to my desk.

I remember "dancing shrimp" on Cowboy in the afternoon...

When I reflected later, that the live shrimp were probably sourced from the local drainage ditch, I gave up on street food that wasn't busy with a queue of locals.

Also Duck tongues from the little tourist restaurant round the corner at the back of Cowboy, twice...
