Old Hippie
I remember a lot of good times…good times involving board members…Hanging out at Silver Dollar with Dan, Jay, Pom Michael Mekong Kurt just drinking, smoking cigars and watching the world go by… A party at Jay and Dan’s when lots of Board members showed up… Taking the night bus up to Surin with Cent… I can still remember my first trip like it was yesterday… I also remember the first time I went to Pattaya, the Song-Teow going over the hill, the first glimpse of the first beer bars, the sun was about to set, girls going to work… Nights I just couldn’t find “the right girl” etc…
bust
I went to Jay's a couple of times for the Sunday arvo gathering. Good memories. Nights out with MPIH were always fun. The guy on the right isn't familiar. Looks Dutch 55555

Looks Dutch 55555 MPIH is always a good time…I recall trying to find a bar that was showing Formula 1, satellite was out in most, ended up eating a lamb dinner at Hounds and Hares and pissing away 3.5 years of sobriety…Also recall the night MPIH, Connelly and maybe 1-3 other guys(?) all went to Saphan Thaksin pouring rain as we got there, ordered dinner and drinks, met some girls, and soon the rain had flooded the bar, oddly, it didn’t matter as we were having such a good time. Took my girl back to the Federal had a great night, next morning went down for breakfast with her and there was a family from the Thai Temple here in California…never 1 to be embarrassed by my actions, I made introduction and we then enjoyed breakfast. Very nice girl. The girl from Saphan Thaksin, the woman from the temple was a bitch, her husband was a self righteous prick, probably jealous as well…
My Penis is hungry
In my defence I had no idea you was on the wagon when I violently shoved you off it! But I felt pretty bad when you told me. I quite liked Saphon Thaksin, there's a number of areas I'd prefer to go too that frequented regularly. Another area was the Thai disco areas. Always good to meet some Thais not from the usual farang ghettos. I quite liked Cactus, it was a bar you went too not to look at girls but catch up with mates. Plus the bouncer on the door was a Muay Thai fighter I knew from the mid 90's in Cactus John was a character and once you got to know him a pretty good bloke, he still looks after some old folks in Bangkok that no one would know about nor does he toot his own horn so I respect that.

Saphan Thaksin is…er I mean was fun…I liked it a lot. Maybe Kevin was with you me and Connelly that night? There was a decent group as I recall. RCA and the other club areas were ok, but honestly, I was too damned old even then… As for feeling guilty “about shoving me off the wagon” (not in a gay way of course) it was my own doing, no one to blame but me. Booze and I are…well…part of each other’s lives. Doing ok now, learned to control it and the facts driving it changed. Cactus was good for the reasons mentioned. I had no real issue with John other than him getting pissed at me for not drinking alcohol (yet still buying a girl or 2 a drink before fucking, who says romance is dead?) which did put me back a bit… but I can see where some might feel off about it. Cactus John has had some health problems in the recent times, Tommie looks in on him. I remember Dan and company referring to it as “no Name Bar” so it wouldn’t get ruined….John has been out for awhile now, went in 1-2 times since, and about the same other than being greeted by name or face, which made me look cool…Silver Dollar was also our spot on the square and I remember Jay buying dinner at Apache? Had it shipped in from The restaurant on Soi Cowboy, Sam’s 2000(?) maybe was the name…I still occasionally bang, well pre married, banged a girl from Long Gun, 20+ years or more…started as a Dek Serve, made Bar Tender and then and now, nude dancer, who says Thai girls lack ambition..? I do remember one night seeing a board member on Soi Cowboy carrying a woman’s purse and claiming he was doing so because the girl he had pulled the night before had left it in his room…yet, he also said, he had called and she said “…I’ll meet you at the bar to pick it up…” (his words) but she wasn’t there, so he walked around with it all night…while “gay suspect,” it didn’t match his shoes so not 100% gay…40-50% gay maybe…think he was Australian..?
