We All Smile The Same Regardless Of Where We Came From

Many years ago I was walking through a shopping center when I noticed an Asian man walking towards me. This was probably early 80's when Australia was flooded with refugees from Vietnam. This migration stream flowed right up unto the early 90's for obvious reasons.

He was wearing a T-shirt that said "Australia.....Land of Plenty" which to be honest I wasn't too sure how to react to until he walked past me. My eyes followed him and on the back it had a map of Australia and the words "Plenty Bloody Flies" On closer inspection the map was made of flys. I had a chuckle to myself.

I have been watching all the rubbish happening in the world at the moment. We are having our share of protests and marches. One recently named "Reclaim Australia" I believe there are similar movements in the UK.

So my question is, does multiculturalism work or are we just digging ourselves into a deeper hole. Personally I have no issues with it. Curios to hear others thoughts.

I have encountered a number of Afghan workers over the years. Lovely people. When I talk to them about Massoud the Northern Alliance they can't really comprehend how I know about him. They often offer to share their food with me. Good tucker 👍

Yes it works, the hole is just one pitfall of evolution.

I remember in my school days, a rarity, a male french exchange student, was arriving

All the girls on the day, turned up with fresh panties and spent their time whilst waiting, for his arrival, seeing how short, they could wear their skirts.

And so it is, prolly works for boys interest in girls too.

The ability to get fresh/different, DNA in to the gene pool is a core driver for evolution, the resistance we encounter at introduction, is akin to an entrance exam.

If the species thinks it's desirable to have members that can run/jump faster/higher than others, a bunch of short legged trudgers, will not have as much breeding success, but still may influence the gene pool in other ways, i.e. vast wealth procuring many families resulting in drowning out the DNA of poorer athletes .

Mind you I'm biased, my kids are not pure Nordic/Danish, they're Viking/Samurai and Viking/Nák-róp

We here in the states are in no shortage of right wing, racist groups each determined to “take back America…” My guess is these guys all disagree with each other to some extent, or they wouldn’t be in different groups. Years back, when I presume the USA was “great,” we were an ethnically diverse group, with one thing in common, we were all shit on by the W.A.S,Ps that run/ran the show here. I am a first generation American, my birth mother is from Siberia/Russia and my birth father was rumored to be from South Africa, I never met either one. My adopted parents were also immigrants as were my foster parents who raised me. I grew up around different accents and languages and cultures in San Francisco, where there wasn’t as much segregation as there was/is in many other parts of the USA. As a result of how and where I grew up, I can do something most white Americans can’t do, that is speak another language. I am proud of that. Actually, I am poorly conversant in a few languages.   

     Going back to when “America was great,” you have to take a look at who immigrants were, what they wanted and what they contributed. This country was built by immigrants (including the involuntary immigrants aka slaves from Africa and the debt bonded Irish)  As immigrants came, they took the shit jobs the “elite” didn’t want, built communities and became Americans and flourished. When we had the military draft, all sorts of people were forced to share meals and living conditions together (except black people, they were kept separate until 1948) and somehow everyone got along, fought our wars along side some of the “elite Americans,” And made the country “GREAT.”  Somewhere along the line, we forgot something, or maybe never knew it…rather than make things here using immigrant labor, we sought to save a buck and ship the jobs over seas and became a nation of weak, can’t win a war types who can’t produce anything… Some blame it on poor management at the highest level, others claim it was because the draft ended, prayer was removed from schools and interracial couples and homos were allowed to marry… Who the fuck knows? All I know is I live in a place with a lot of different types of people, we all basically respect each other and there is a ton of great food to be had…the WASPS can have their white bread and mayonnaise…oh, bit of a rant there…what were talking about again..? Oh yeah, diversity, I’m all for it…but no guys playing women’s sports…gotta draw the line somewhere, I’ll draw it there…
