Anyone know if it is possible to have a tracking chip placed in my dog’s ear in Thailand? Any experience? Know ant Dog doctors or shops offering this service..? Dog napping is on the rise here and I have heard it is in Thailand as well. So hence the chip…

Not just in LOS.

In a place over the river from 'Dumsoda's last stand' there used to be a handful of Dog restaurants in plain sight near my abode.

And you know sometimes you see a truck with cages full 'o 500 chickens on the back? Sometimes the chickens were the barking kind...

So when I say "used to be" this recent visit, I saw a spit roast outside a little eatery round the corner from my house with what could be described as a small blonde labrador on it, skin crispy. Whilst I coulda stopped, MLG refused me permission.

On the other road there's a place that does whole cows, delicious! MInd you, a whole cow in Laos is about the size of a Big Billy Goat....

OH, just a curious question. Assuming you chip said Rover...  And someone abducts Rover?

What use is the chip?

I wouldn't have thought that LOS authorities, are  well equipped with hand held scanners, to ID rover.

Or are you thinking a satellite tag with tracking, care of mates with a, ahem, job somewhere?

I suppose theres a very remote chance that you are dining at an eatery and see a customer picking the chip out of his teeth, during a meal.... :)

Just funning you...

Good point our friend from the land of the long white clouds makes. My dogs were chipped and the only ones who could scan them were vets. I remember the male went walkabout once and and it was the vet clinic that contacted us.

What about an air tag or similar stitched into the collar. And I don't mean the studded one you often wear. I'm pretty sure they are waterproof as well should your K-9 enjoy a dip in the khlong.

And that place where Dumbsoda resided is where I first consumed dog. Fed to me deceptively by another board member who will remain anonymous.

Thinking satellite tracking, find the person, hopefully the dog, and wait a few months and then extract revenge…
