I’m currently a shop steward with the Teamsters Union, I tend to vote “Libertarian,” AKA “liberal republicans who want to smoke weed” or Conservative democrats that already smoke weed…” My views vary with the issue at hand…

Politically I'll always vote left and green, generally good things for people and planet.  I'll decry folks bleating about stuff, that I haven't seen the science for.

Where I differ is, in the views I have, that certain members of our populations, should be ground up and made into fertiliser...

Left v Right, Conservative v Democrat. At the end of the day they are all politicians with only one thing in mind. Self interest. They make policies and support interest groups in order to get re-elected. I would say most consider the people they represent a necessary inconvenience.

Very well. Many times I came over similar outbursts to call the " politicians" a bunch of people to fight for their "self interests" . What I did never come across has been any proposal how to find folks free from any evil just interested in the welfare of their brethren.  The "politicians " are not a selection of the most useless people, they are what we are.  To quote for the thousandth time what a professor at Bonn university once upon a time wrote : " They are meat of our meat."  We are no better than them, we just don´t know how we would behave in similar or same position. 

 

PS: To avoid misunderstandings : I do not call Trump a politician. Born into a family of swines he just continued and so do his sons. Not sure yet about Barron.

Friend of mine used to say, that in a cadre of say (for a small country) 1,000 politicians, every year the country does a quick vote, to take one out the back and put a bullet in their head.

This would cause politicians to try to do good, to avoid death, and the 1 : 1,000 risk would be worth it, to be known as the golden boy...

Like running from the bear, it could also be a cause to try to be the 2nd most bad...
