Obligatory food pictures…

Here, so far, Mostly from Krua Kun Puk Sukhumvit Soi 11/1…The scrambled eggs with “pak Liang” is one of my favorites, difficult to get in Surin…I suppose we should try growing it..?

The Carlsberg beer and h’ ordourves  Or “gop glen” as my wife calls it, are from the Stable lodge.  I was shocked to see “The Game” bar on Sukhumvit has Sierra Nevada Beer…a California favorite! I will investigate! The art work behind the Carlsberg and snacks was done by a dear and handi capped girl we met on Sukhumvit, kind reminds me of Frida Kahlo…we may ask if she can do some custom pictures for us.

Stable Lodge is my home away from home, many memories and still my fave.

True, we took a walk down Soi 11 at 4 a.m.What a…mess..? Of Indian and African people…ganja and body Oder the scent of the day… Very few street bars on Sukhumvit now…less street food for sale in many of the previous venues…even Soi 4 on Saturday night had little to offered…er in the way of food I mean…

I loved the street bars along Suk after Cowboy and Nana closed. Had some great nights and many sunrises there. Always lots of choice and an abundance of decent food carts. Some nights we would end up at Swing or Spicy. Swing or Spicy, can't remember which one, started to get over run by Nigerians and lost it's appeal.Still lots of great memories.

We saw the girl drawing on Sukhumvit, she is deaf and has a deformed arm, twisted body, but she was there doing her art. As I may have said, reminds me a bit of Freda Khole (sp)She was doing some other stuff that looked good. We went back to see if she would do some other stuff, custom work, but we have not seen her since... The paintings were 200Bht each, she also had some “cut paper pop up card that were cool, 100Thb each.

Frida Kahlo inspired. I liked her self portraits especially With Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird

The pictures we bought off an artist on the street, My wife liked them so held them up as I took a pic of a beer…
