I think the New York games rate actually being held in New Jersey, the shit hole known as Newark. The claim is the dump will present the winner with the trophy at the final game. As much as I want the USA to win, or other favorite (UK, Spain OZ NZ etc…) *IF* a team from an “hostile nation” wins, please let it be Iran! Nothing would be better than seeing the dump have to hand them the trophy, shake their hands (if they will) and congratulate them…maybe giving him that final aneurism we all hope for…

For many football fans, this World Cup has been one of exclusion and travel bans

For years, Mustafa al Saadi and three hospital coworkers travelled abroad together, following Iraq's national soccer team.

When Iraq qualified for its first World Cup since 1986 — the first in the lifetime of the 32-year-old laboratory technician in Mosul General Hospital's oncology department — they planned another trip, this time to the United States, for Iraq's game against France in Philadelphia.

Only three of the friends boarded the plane. Al Saadi's visa application was still pending as he walked to Mosul's al Muthanna neighbourhood to watch the match, while his friends entered the stadium nearly 10,000 away.

Before the tournament began, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk warned US immigration policies could undermine access to the World Cup, calling for "a massive rethink" of enforcement to protect "human rights and human dignity."

As part of the Trump administration's broader immigration crackdown, the US last year began requiring some visitors from 50 countries to post visa bonds of up to $US15,000 ($AU21,700).
