Supposed to be because of some high-ranking people visiting (also the Queen in fact) but it's been going on for a long time now.. See pic.. such a sad sight: http://srv.fotopages.com/?o=1115176&t=2 Of course you CAN find places to go after this, but it's just not nice when your evening is being interrupted. How can you possibly aspire to become a major tourist destination and then close down all the bars at midnight.. If they keep this up then Dusit and Conrad and all the other ones might as well stop building. Mind you it's not only the girlie bars they're closing. It may be interesting to know for sanukers stranded on Loi Kroh at midnight that a certain gogo bar seems to be open until 1am. At least it was last night. I mean with the hundreds of gogo bars in Chiang Mai, how could I possible locate it? ;-)) (Kidding) Also Bubbles Disco remains open, but not places like Nice Illusion. Spicy of course goes on until dawn. And someone mentioned some places in the Chiang Mai Land area, which is a bit off the tourist track.
