GatLoS Posted November 24, 2001 Report Share Posted November 24, 2001 Nok, Be careful about which chip/kit you get. Bought a kit from a store in Pattaya, they said it was for the US versions of PS2. It was different from the old kits in that you only needed 1 jumper wire inside the machine, then you inserted a "key" into the memory port and ran a CD, they included a photo of the circuit board to show the mod needed. When I got home and bought a PS2 to mod. the board was completely different!! Emailed the store where I bought it got a reply saying that they would try to contact the maker, still waiting for the final reply. From a friend who got his machine in Pattaya looks like the board shown in the photo looks like the japanese machine he got that was chipped in Pattaya. Good luck with your system.
