stumpy
Hi guys, want to go to the Grand Palace when staying in Nana area next week. Before I have just jumped in a taxi but is there a way I can make this easier by taking the sky train some of the way? And if so where would be best to get off? Many thanks, SD. Barry
You could take a boat up the Saen Saeb from Soi 3 and take a tuk tuk from the end by the golden mount... I once walked from the stadium during songkran and was about fit to drop by the time I got there.

Neo
And when you get there, don't let the tuk tuk drivers who will approach con you into believing it is closed for a special ceremony.
stumpy
Thanks, I have been to Saphan Taksin before. How much would a boat cost and how far is it from here? If I say Grand Palace to them will they understand? Thanks for the help. SD.
oldie5
The normal commuter express boat costs 13 baht and the tourist boat charges 18 baht, get on whichever comes first. Yes, they understand Grand Palace. Takes about 20 mins and is a pleasant trip.
