gawguy
This woman doesn't exactly understand where to write what in an email. She writes the body in the Subject area. There she wrote in Thai: "Hello, I miss you a lot. In the body she writes: à¸à¸™à¸¸ เผืà¸à¸à¸œà¹ˆà¸à¸‡ The she closes with Love ... Lek What does the part that I have left in Thai mean? Google translate says the last two words mean "Shiny white." Is this a metaphor, simile, idiom?? Thanks, GG

gawguy
Okay. You guys are right. That's the name she uses for her email. I clicked "reply" and it came up in the address line. But is it an actual name? Are you familiar with it as first name, last name. Both words have meanings. "à¸à¸™à¸¸" and "เผืà¸à¸à¸œà¹ˆà¸à¸‡" I'm back home now so I'll ask her about her real name when I get back to LOS. Thanks.
Guest
Not normally used words à¸à¸™à¸¸ too small ( something so small can only be seen under a microscope such as bacteria ) เผืà¸à¸à¸œà¹ˆà¸à¸‡ bright ( high word not used in everyday conversation )
Dexi
Many ( even most ? ) thai names are combinations of real words with meaning usually related to beauty ( ladies obviously ) or wealth and prosperity. Can make it confusing when reading unless you know in advance. candyfloss
My Uncle Kev says the problem with the Thai language is its difference to the English language. He says everybody should just speak English. As this would avoid any misunderstandings.
phuketfan300
It's probably her nickname.
