Young Donald had a troubling relationship with his mother whom he uncannily resembles.  He has many gynic (feminine) traits, that are very well hidden, but obvious if you know what to look for.  He most likely really loved his mother, but his strong dependent attachment to her was a humiliating sign of his own capacity to take care of himself.  He was forced to belittle the relationship - not feminine enough, but no where nearly male enough, he repudiated her, and developed an intense hatred for women. 

His own notion of superiority is challenged by the reality that his own children aren't exactly that bright.  It's widely known that Eric Trump is little more than a simple retard.  His son Barron is severely autistic, not that Trump gives a flying fuck about that. 

The thing is, in this analysis, I do feel compassion for the man, after all, he's mentally ill.  He should be being cared for, no matter what he's done. 

His disjunctivity of thought and speech verge on the pathological.  He has a very talented innate capacity to demonstrate an unbelievable capacity to tell falsehood in concert with a total innocence of promises and assertions made only a moment before. 

In further analysis I will demonstrate how this is all likely to end up. . .

There is an unsettling aspect to his sexuality.  It's not hard to divine a sexual pattern that has resulted from the fusion of a

* primitive excretory soiling tendency (pee pee tapes) and,

* a passive masochistic tendency (hypertrophy of the feminine component in his make up).  Without his orange paste he looks uncannily like his mother.  Yet he attempts to emulate his father.

Of course the masochism derives much of its strength from an unconscious need for punishment. 

The erotic pattern however isn't a dominant force in Trump's personality.  But it does cast further light on his character. 

We will get onto the projection side of Trump's life - he very openly projects his own inner conflicts and his attempts to solve them.  He clearly passionately loved his mother, hated and feared his father.  This dual and contradictory identification (the one is gentle, passive, feminine; the other brutal, aggressive, masculine) results in a deep hatred and contempt for his mother, and love and admiration for his father.  His 'love' for dictators, Kim Jong Un, Putin, MBS bears this out. 

What is more is that there is no 'cure' for this.

Trump is a classic example of a counteractive pathology, characterized by the repression and denial of  the inferior portions of the self and striving for the exact opposite, the curing of insults to pride, winning general respect, prestige, fame.

If this sounds familiar, it is because this is what is generally considered to be a what you need to be successful in Western culture - and goes someway to explaining his popularity.  But this is compulsively extreme in Trump, based on a weak neurotic structural foundation. 

Most people would have noticed these chief traits:

1. Counteractive need for dominance, superiority;

2. Counteractive aggression, revenge;

3. Repression of conscious, compliance, love;

4. Projection of criticizable elements of the self.

I plan to outline each four points in a series of posts - to give you a taste we'll briefly look at the first one. 

1. Counteractive need for dominance, superiority

* this often develops when a subject has had to endure their formative years with a harsh and unjust person - presumably the father in this case.  It is readily apparent in intolerable feelings of inferiority.  In turn this leads to contempt of their inferior traits (weakness, timidity, submissiveness) and the urge to repress them in themselves, and condemn them in others,

* accompanied by this will be a high admiration and envy of others, with a vision of the self as ultimately superior,

* repeated efforts to become superior (a counteraction from a wounded pride), encouraged by moments of extreme self-confidence when one believes he has met the equal of one's vision. 

These traits are very common, but they are so profound in Trump, the commonly balancing forces such as affection, conscience, self criticism, humour are virtually non-existent.  What remains is megalomania (a form of omnipotence).  He can *never* be wrong, his criteria of superiority is the very opposite of he himself is or once was.

I see your point, he will probably go to some country club prison once everything comes to light or even house arrest.  The big problem he has is that it isn't even an option for him.  The Russians simply won't tolerate him sliding further into dementia and risk spilling the beans.  I know I wouldn't - you've milked him for all he has, then it's time to go - a well planned operation is done from start to finish.  The 'suicide' I keep mentioning may or may not be real.  I certainly won't be surprised when I hear the news. 

I have to admit, I've rather enjoyed watching the mental unraveling of the 'very stable genius'.  He's set foot in a quagmire; the only way out is death or disgrace (along with forfeiture of whatever assets the banks don't own).  As always the Germans come to the rescue with the perfect word - schadenfreude.  And this will be delicious.  This should top me up for life!

I'll give him his due, he's always managed to slither his way out of bad situations more or less until he climbed onto the top of the garbage heap that is US politics - with Russian assistance of course.  But every step of the way he's become more and more en mired. The beautiful thing is that there is no way out this time.  Well apart from suicide, which would be a damn shame, a denouement that would frankly rob people of their natural sense of justice.

Of course the salutary lesson here boys and girls is don't do drugs.  A junkie as POTUS, who would have thunk it?

In case you thought there was a leader with a strong fatherly hand on the tiller, willing to steer America back to the land of prosperity - a man of great integrity, selflessness and God damn it - a man who will demonstrate by his actions like Truman that the 'Buck stops here'.

I totally agree about the drone program. It started before him but he increased it. I've said on here it is both illegal and impeachable for the extrajudicial killings of US citizens. People also don't mention that he was the one who revived the hunt for bin Laden. Made it a priority. Psychologically, it was huge to finally get him. Also, he made peace with Cuba. That has been vastly understated. It's huge. Trump is reversing it. Purely out of spite and one of the biggest bone head things to do. Cuba poses no threat to America at all and there can only be positiveness with opening up to Cuba. Trade, tourism, etc. If you want to end communism in Cuba you do it the same way you changed communism in China....trade. Opening up markets. 

Foreign policy wise, he had a few big wins. Not all, TPP was wrong but overall, he made America respectable again to the world after Bush's disastrous and extremely unpopular war with Iraq and the scope and degree of the war in Afghanistan.

And how is any of this news?  When I travel I fully expect that there will be working air conditioning - I do the same thing. I'll ring ahead and ask for it to be turned on if it's a particularly muggy day.  If I'm paying for a 5 or even 3 star room I expect the plumbing to work. 

Tying it to so-called socialism in Venezuela is pretty bizarre in my opinion.   It's bizarre also because Sanders has lived a very austere life - he checks his bill at a restaurant to make sure he's paid enough.  He always attends those committee meetings most representatives don't bother to.  He''ll always get an amendment into legislation through sheer perseverance.  He's the epitome of a hard working American and he doesn't deserve these socialism slights from people who are simply ignorant.

In the case of Iraq it was a *spectacular* intelligence fail.  If you care to read about it there are many government papers that damn the intelligence community.  Particularly their methodology.  I perceive it as they were happy to have satellites and too heavily reliant on informers - they wanted intelligence at an arm's length.  Gone was the old fashioned practice of putting spies in place - too much work apparently.

The current state of affairs, deplorable as they are - are easily remedied.  The 'typical' Trump supporter is - and I know this sounds fanciful but hear me out - sharing a psychosis - all this fake news, conspiracies, etc.  It's not even a very clever trick - I think they call it the firehouse of unreality or something like that - you just keep reiterating the same lies again and again until they stick and people don't know what's real or not. 

I don't even bring myself to feel contempt for those affected - like you say nearly half the US population are affected. 

The remedy is incredibly simple - remove Trump.  You'd be surprised just how quickly the fog will lift. 

I am simplifying this too much though.  The US has to deal with Russian interference.  The problem is just how thoroughly the infection has spread.  Imprisoning or even hanging the main culprits would work, but I don't think America has the stomach for that, alas.

Point taken.  You are right - intelligence royally fucked up before.  It's a mistake to believe however that they always fuck up.  After the Iraq misadventure there was a major review into how things were done.  But yeah you're right - it's one of the many reasons the US is as fucked as it is now.  The problem with losing credibility is that it's incredibly hard to reestablish it.

There's a long tradition of Presidents serving in the military going back to Ulysses Grant.  You have to mind that the US never really wanted a large standing military (which is what it has got today).  That was the reason behind the now controversial Second Amendment - so they could drum up a standing militia in times of crisis.  Of course this has morphed into the ridiculous gun laws of the present day. 

Now you've got a large standing military, a ever growing mercenary contractor force and a bottomless budget - yet still Russia is eating your lunch; and taking orders from the Premier.

The problem with Trump is he won't stop, he's like a fish in that if he stops he won't be able to breathe.  His pathology has spread throughout the nation - a shared pathology.  The only cure for it is to remove him.   When he goes, so does the sickness.  Remarkably quickly.  People will wonder what the fuck they were thinking of. 

Another thing people don't realize is that he really is hurting.  He is human and he has a subconscious that he attempts to submerge by wilder and more obnoxious acts.  Late at night when he's alone he cries like a baby.  You can easily observe this by looking at his eyes, some days he must have literally cried the whole night before.   It really is pathetic.  He is on a Sisyphean task - and when he stops - complete and utter disgrace. 

I'm predicting he won't let it get to that however - he'll take his own life - which is sad because he should really rot in prison.

Lev Parnas just blew the lid off the entire sordid affair.  He has literally implicated everyone!  There is going to be a mad rush to see who can plead for immunity first!  The culprits will be second guessing each other.  This is extremely bad news for the White House administration. 

The Republicans were terrified about Bolton testifying at an impeachment trial, just imagine the specter of Lev Parnas testifying?  Jesus! I hope that guy has got a good security detail.

I know this will be controversial, but I think America made a big mistake by decrying ISIS dead.  They are not of course, and it seems rather stupid to put your major justification for war overseas to sleep.  The worst thing America did was not to have any plan, invading was the easy bit (Mind the Bush 'mission accomplished').  Why not keep the Iraqi military largely intact after you put your own commanders in place?  Rather than completely destroying all the infrastructure using more of those 'smart' bombs we heard about. 

The USA should be allies with Iran - if they're going to vindictively seek revenge on anyone after 9/11 it should have been Saudi Arabia where most of the hijackers came from, and then Pakistan who sheltered the masterminds.  This is precisely what you'd do if you were a patriotic American - for fucking shame these people waving their flags, ignorant of any history and encouraging young Americans, Europeans, Canadians, Australian, into Afghanistan - one of the most craven, cowardly pieces of treachery that will go down in history as one of the most pig ignorant decisions - especially considering that not one, but two! empires had already foundered there.
