IMHO the ban is too lenient, in Rugby biting is an Automatic 12 month ban, in Boxing Tyson lost his licence for biting Holyfield's ear and was banned for life later to be changed to 12 months on appeal. Even in UCF (cage fighting) most violent combat sport (I use Sport Lightly) anyone found guilty of biting is banned for life.

 

I don't know who is bigger asshole Suarez himself or the "We are always the victims" Liverpool fans for trying to defend his actions.

Haven't heard a single word from Pool yet regarding this case and most Pool fans I know think Suarez is out of order.

To put this in perspective though, biting has never ended someone's career, in contrast to Keane's antics, who as we all know was also wearing a red shirt at the time being.

A German man was arrested yesterday in Bangkok’s Prawet district after several women went to the police for being lured into his cheap iPhone deal.

Bogdan Gerik, 40, reportedly confessed to police that he took his victims’ hearts and their money, but it was all a scam.

Several women told the police they got to know Bogdan through dating sites. Smitten and having already hopped in bed with the man, they trusted him enough to transfer thousands of baht as Bogdan claimed he could get them iPhones from Germany at a much lower price.

But after taking their money, he never did.

We’re not sure how many women or how many iPhones were involved, but somehow nearly THB3 million was transferred to his bank account.

According to the investigation, Bogdan arrived Thailand 14 years ago and has been living in the kingdom illegally while working as an extra. One of his recent jobs was for Hong Hoon, the popular horror film which recently launched theaters, Khaosod reported.

The Criminal Court yesterday sentenced former model Chatchaya Cuesta Ramos, better known as Yuyee, to 15 years in prison and fined her Bt1.5 million after finding her guilty of smuggling cocaine into the country.

The court initially handed her a 20-year jail term and a Bt2 million fine but reduced both on grounds that her testimony was useful to the case.

Yuyee was arrested on November 10, 2012 at Don Mueang International Airport after customs officials found 251mg of cocaine in her suitcase upon arrival from Vietnam. She was charged with illegally possessing and smuggling a type-2 narcotic into Thailand.

Separately, the Min Buri Court also handed the 41-year-old down an additional three months in prison for having protected wildlife in her possession.

Her lawyer Prasert Boonkaew said that Yuyee's husband had prepared Bt2 million to apply for bail while an appeal for a lower sentence was mounted.

Yuyee, who was at the ruling yesterday, didn't comment.
