  1. Switched over channels last night on TV, and a film was in progress

Last 15 minutes ..... film Unknown ? No idea of what it was about .. The actors name I think is something like "Kurt "

Three women in white car somewhere in the US, chase man in black car and force him off road smashing windows of his car. He escapes but the women follow and continue to ram his car from behind and side. This goes on and he thinks he has escaped, but they catch up with him again and ram car to side. It crashes and they drag him out of car, and in a circle take turns to punch him until he falls to the ground. The last scene was when one of the women stamps on is head.

  2. " maybe thats the reason behind the new SIM registration > to stamp out this dangerous boob selfie menace "

Of course you joke in this case, but SIM registration as with IP address is a method of identification, and will be used as means to trace anyone, posting anything deemed inappropriate.

Phuket court rules 'secured' or 'collective' leases are void

PHUKET: In a shock decision by the Phuket Civil Court, backed by the Region 8 Appellate Court, it has been ruled that the so-called “secured leases†offered by some real estate developers to allow foreigners to secure a cast-iron 90-year lease are not valid. - See more at: http://www.thephuketnews.com/phuket-court-rules-secured-or-collective-leases-are-void-51183.php#sthash.xyPOXNEm.dpuf

Not sure if this is good or bad news, although in a typical Thai way, there seems to be a way out as the end of the article states.

  4. I will give Born to Run a read.

Way back when...I used to run but always had well cushioned shoes. One time I did run bare footed and ouch! never again!!

Maybe the thin cushion is OK :dunno:

You need to really ease in to barefoot running. I run since a couple of years on Vibram 5 fingers but had a nice and easy transition period.

Interestingly enough, I met a participant and his pacer (for the last 50 miles) of the Leadville 100 mile 1993 edition very recently, who raced with the Tarahumara and he placed 24th in under 25 hours which earned him the sliver buckle.

The next year they reversed roles.

  5. Born to Run by Christopher McDougall

In Born to Run, McDougall tracks down members of the reclusive Tarahumara Indian tribe in the Mexican Copper Canyons. After being repeatedly injured as a runner himself, McDougall marvels at the tribe's ability to run ultra distances (over 100 miles) at incredible speeds, without getting the routine injuries of most American runners. The book has received attention in the sporting world for McDougall's description of how he overcame injuries by modeling his running after the Tarahumara. He asserts that modern cushioned running shoes are a major cause of running injury, pointing to the thin sandals worn by Tarahumara runners, and the explosion of running-related injuries since the introduction of modern running shoes in 1972.

    Excellent read

  6. " It's truly amazing now in several posts you have condoned and defended cheaing "

Next you will be saying you have never downloaded a pirate film or music from the internet, or bought a copy watch or something similar.

Just keep justifying yourself, you do that long enough, you will believe yourself.

  7. " I rarely have a problem with the cabbies :dunno: "

Me too, 80,000 taxi's Bangkok, hard working and just trying to make a living, but of course they don't make for good blog value video and news.

It's truly amazing how in several posts now you have condoned and defended cheating, scamming and breaking laws. A great sample of 'Thainess' indeed and the perfect reason why more scammers should be exposed in the LOS.

  9. No signs of foul play in Briton's death

    January 23, 2015 5:17 pm

Initial investigation has found no foul play in the death of a 23yearold British woman earlier this week in Surat Thani's Koh Tao.

The body of Christina Annesley, 23, was discovered in her rented bungalow, and there were no signs of ransacking or struggle. Police send the body, which showed no marks of aggression or injury, to Surat Thani Hospital's forensic division for further examination.

Pol General Ruangsak Jritake, deputy National Police chief, said Friday that police were focusing on examining the woman's room and nearby area as well as a thorough collection of forensic evidence. He said some medication has been found in the room, and police are checking to see if it is linked to the death.
