Just becomes some one is "populist" hardly means they're doing something wrong, and if you can last as a populist for over a decade of elections, it can't be all bad... Anyway... we all have a right to express our opinion, I suppose - unless we're Thai, I mean.

Why is the army getting credit or criticism for the registration of migrants? That is a Thaksin project, circa 2004, I seem to remember registration of a couple million from MYA, CAM, LAO, some bitching about them having to pay a fee for health insurance and so on - I guess that project has continued to date in various forms.
