Stock market back where it was 5 years ago..nah don't want it
Housing just recovering...nah don't want it
Unemployment decreasing...nah don't want it
Free healthcare....nah don't want it
Scrap programs that benefit the majority and veterans so that the rich can enjoy tax cuts...yes please!
Chance of another foreign war on the credit card in the Middle east...yes please!
As you state, the Republicans are for the rich. What amazes me is how thay are able to win any elections at all when the rich is only a small fraction of the population. They have somehow convinced a lot of low and middle income folks to vote against their interests.
Are people dumb? ...sometimes
Are people fooled? ...sometimes
I think the Republican strategy is to confuse the low and middle class and fool them into voting Republican.

I was a Democrat last election. This year, I'm with the Justice Party. They believe that there should be universal health care, free 4-years of college for all, and prosecution of people who authorized torture. They have other ideas I support.

There are parts of the Bible that condemn drunkenness.
“For the drunkard and the glutton will become poor, and grogginess will clothe [them] in rags†(Proverbs 23:21).
“Let us walk with decency, as in the daylight: not in carousing and drunkenness…†(Romans 13:13).
“Do not be deceived: no sexually immoral people, idolaters… [nor] drunkards… will inherit God’s kingdom†(1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
“Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar, about which I tell you in advance—as I told you before—that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God†(Galatians 5:19-21).
“An overseer, therefore, must… not [be] addicted to wine†(1 Timothy 3:2-3; see also Titus 1:7).
“Deacons, likewise, should… not [be] drinking a lot of wine†(1 Timothy 3:8).
“And don’t get drunk with wine, which [leads to] reckless actions, but be filled with the Spirit†(Ephesians 5:18).

Where I used to work, anything over six drinks per week was considered heavy drinking. That's less than one drink per day. The last time a Doc addressed my alcohol comsumption, he said: one glass of champaign on New Years Eve

... In the old days, let's say only 100 years ago you would have been seen as a bit nutty if you drank water, it was far more likely to have a pint of beer for breakfast - indeed it was considered a foodstuff. I like to carry on the tradition, lol.
I highly recommend "Drink - A Cultural History of Alcohol", by Iain Gately, if you want a light read on the subject.
After reading your post, I was about ready for a nightcap, but it occurred to me that in the old days, life expectancy was much lower. Excessive drinking could have contributed to their early demise.

Here it is 2011. Beaujolais Nouveau this year is not as good as last year when I bought 25 bottles. I went down to Costo and bought a bottle (of the 2011 vintage [$7 US]) but still have some left over from 2010 -- not good -- Beaujolais Nouveau is supposed to be drunk young .

Beaujolais nouveau is not bad this year. I bought a couple bottles at COSTCO in the USA for $8.50 per bottle. Last year, the price for a bottle of this stuff in Pattaya Carrefour was about five times the COSTCO's price.

A baby was born who was so
advanced, he could talk. He looked
around the delivery room and saw the
doctor.
"Are you my doctor?" he asked.
"Yes, I am," said the
doctor.
The baby said, "Thank you for taking such good care of me
during
the birth."
He looked at his mother and asked, "Are you my
mother?"
"Yes, I am," said the mother.
"Thank you for taking such
good care of me before I was born," he
said.
He then looked at his
father and asked, "Are you my father?"
"Yes, I am," his father
answered.
The baby motioned him closer, then poked him repeatedly on
the
forehead with his index finger.
"Hurts doesn't
it!"

If you have sex with a prostitute against her will, is that rape or shoplifting?

I've been noticing that Willard sounds more and more like a Democrat as we get closer to the election. Maybe his stategy is to sound more like a Democrat than Obama. He can always revert to his old Republican self if he wins.
