If any members are in town the week of Jan 26th and would like to meet up for a drink and some food pick a spot and time and I'll be there.

The original board had about 6 members when I joined it. I found it when I typed in Nanaplaza and searched. It quickly grew to over 150 members. Then one day we went to log on and it was gone! No warning, it was just shut down. I emailed KS, but he'd already discovered it had been zapped.

I thought a rare post of mine was responsible as it was the last one before the zapping... found out later that it was strictly a coincidence...

Putting up the prices of visas and work permits to foreigners, might help a little to make up for the short fall in tourist revenue.

Oh yeah, that's the same mentality that works so well in the bars and restaurants when business is down...

I have now heard there is an unoffical quote on Asians as well as women in a lot of top tier schools. Women are making up larger numbers of classes now, especially in Grad school.

Steve, Do you mean a restrictive quota?

 

Asians and women seem to be represented in higher percentages than their populations in college (in California at least.)

Sounds like the grapes most likely come from Earnest & Julio's vineyards in the central valley. Gallo is the #1 family-owned winery in the US (55 million/yr case production) so they should have a few extra barrels to spare for the Thai market...
