ijs5
The pirate XXX DVDs I've seen (not in BKK) do not have regional coding, so should work in a UK player. It looked like the original DVDs weren't coded either.
ultras67
Having conducted lots of research my friend ( honest ! ) tells me most original adult dvds are region free. If you stop in Amsterdam or anywhere that sells them legally they all have no region somewhere on the box. Not sure if vcds are coded like that though. more to do with a have you got a player for them.
whosyourdaddy
A friend was commenting that he wants a new standalone DVD player since his DVD player ( asian zone region) wont play all the DVD since most/some/few of them are zone 1.
ALHOLK
Hi! VCD's do not have region codes. If you can't play a VCD on a specific player it's the player that most likely is to old or just not up to thhe job. If it failes on a number of players it is probably a faulty disc. regards ALHOLK
ultras67
Forgot to say as well. Watch out for customs. if they find them they might play them to check its only normal porn and not kids / animals or really wierd stuff. Not sure about volumes as well. Happened to me oops I mean my friend coming from Amsterdam after last years holiday. They went to play it in their office and came back a few minutes later and gave it back to me and sent me on my way.

whosyourdaddy
That is what I though. my buddy must have an older version or something , but it is something to consider when buying it. I am looking at a portable DVD player from teh states but would like to bring a few dvd that I have to test then. I cant believe the price of dvd players in the states. A collegue returned from the states yesterday and said he bought a VCR with a DVD RECORDER so you can transfer your VCR tapes to DVD for $99. wow
Guest
Whaaaat?? jezuz, how much are the portable DVD players in the states, the panasonic ones, real neat little units but dont come standard with battery. They are down to 11000+ baht in MBK right now, which is pretty cheap for this unit I thought ::
