whosyourdaddy
Does anyone know how easily it is to change mobile providers. I would like to change to Dtac from AIS but dont want to lose my number I have had for 4 years. Is it possible??
Guest
AFAIK ........ no. Providers are assigned the numbers. So if you change providers, you must change numbers. PS......... I am willing to be corrected on this Only option might be to use call forwarding.
chilli13
actually LOS finally had this enabled earlier this I believe, but I'm willing to be corrected as well & if not I'm sure one needs patience thru the conversion process ...
whosyourdaddy
Yes you are correct. Dtac just called me in reply to my email. You can not change the pre=paid one to call AIS number to Dtac. I guess I will continue to support AIS and toxin, not worth losing the number
chilli13
is a 'number' really that precious that it beats a better deal at dtac? scrap the number & get a fresh dtac one or stop whining toxin I say or to hell with even get a TA Orange one or how about that Hutch CDMA stuff with amazing data rates & deals... plento of competition out there, but if anyone lets AIS enslave you guys with louse deals & service all the power to him
whosyourdaddy
Money or deals is not the issue. I just dont want to give any more money to toxin. I heard they are losing money in the pumps everytime someone fills up. I drove around the block a few extra times to get some of my tax dollars back. Fatbastard
Its a bit difficult when I use the phone for business, I would LOVE to get away from AIS partic now as I took "advantage" of an offer that was pointed out on this board. The offer gives me cheaper calls but I don''t use all the call time before it time expires after three weeks for a 500 baht card. So now they tell me I have 2500 baht credit but unless I renew it today my account will be suspended > CUNTS. Only way is to get another DTAC phone and gradually get the message around that I have a new number.
whosyourdaddy
I see that Orange is now pissed off with TA and are breaking off and forming TRUE. Adds all over the city for it. I presume some deals will be coming from them.

chilli13
I guess no one will stop you from doing just that & then only receive all your essiential biz calls on AIS, which should still be free no? not too hard except of course if you don't have an old phone to stuff that ais sim into ::
