Lord Toad
I do not think Purachai has thought this through. (maybe that is a silly presumption on my part). But, as already pointed out, most people get a job at 14....they have to. There are also many street kids with no family etc. Just walk down Sukhumvit in the evening. Are the police going to pick all these street kids up. The what are they going to do with them? Maye the interior minister will put them up! What about 16 - 18 year olds working in Hotels etc. What about garages, convienience stores etc. More than a little social re-engineering is required here. this is changing many things and creating a load more problems. Police staions at midnight will become school dormitories!
pattaya127
I am sure this new rule would not include teenagers working "honest" jobs in the evening, and is about kids roaming out in the street, clubs and discos. Did i read somewhere that there was before a law instituting the age of consent at 18, except in the night industry where it was 16?
