cavanami
Learning to speak Thai is not too difficult as there are many instructional sources available. Learning to read Thai is tough as looking for instructional books, I never found anything close to the books I had to learn Chinese and Japanese, but still looking. Flashermac
The problem is most books on reading Thai are absolutely boring! I would never want to read such passages in English, so why would I want to in Thai?

Dexi
I can recommend some of the Thai soft porn mags ( on sale at all good news agents ).The language is not too demanding apart from some of the slang words ( a Thai friend can help out here )and the story lines are entertaining. An added bonus are the many pics of nudy ladies which can distract if the text becomes boring.
