Guest
"Does anyone know if the GSM coverage is poor in the area? " AIS and DTAC have the best coverage in Issan and they are both continuing to install new cell sites, but an external antenna is pretty common for folks using their cell phones at home. Did the person you are trying to reach just recently get the mobile phone? If they have already owned and used one for a long period of time from their location they should have determined by now whether or not they have an adequate signal. ALHOLK
Hi! I just recieved written confirmation that the coverage is virtually non existent. I managed to sort out that I'm given 3 alternatives by pressing 0,1 or 2 but didn't try to memorize the words as the communication I'm seeking is now possible through other channels. Thanks anyway for your offer to help and thanks all for your replies. regards ALHOLK
phoenix
Coverage may vary from time to time. When i was visiting my exGF's home in the sticks about 30 k from Nakom Phanom, it would work about three k out of her village sometimes. At the house, it would only work certain times of the day, or if she climbed on the roof with it.
