Last night we watched "My Cousin Vinny" After watching Goodfellas a few days earlier I wanted the wife to see Joe Pesci in a comedy role. I was suprised when I read that the American Law Society voted it the 3rd best legal movie of all.

....worth watching if just to take in Marissa Tomei !

I have read with great interest the postings and views of many of the posters.

Much of what I have read has assisted in my travels to LOS and the East - and I am most grateful of that.

The one ' matter ' which has interested me most is - from where are you?

Do many of you reside in LOS ?

Are you long term visitors?

Where is your home country?

Has there been a pole on this question?

Virtually in lockstep with the (entirely predictable) fall in the value of our own Pacific Peso - the NZD has gone from strength to strength over the last 6 months or so. Converting to kip, I estimate that coss is now a gazillionaire in his adopted country

 

(3.5 months, cossie, and I'll be spending money in LOS like a drunken sailor - I seem to recall you spent a couple of weeks reacqauinting yourself with a few barstools when you got off the plane )

Of All the great plans of Mice and Men - just could not get on that plane!

But I did buy another home on Coast and have the pleasure of each weekend of gazing onto the Indian Ocean.

But I shall make that trip !

I have to learn to let go - and for me that just is not possible.

Oh how I envy those of you who reside and enjoy the life in LOS!

It's been awhile, but who is left on this board?

 

Last time I was shooting out dribble, there was alot of debate about the significance/tenure of this/the board. A quick glimpse of recent posts reveal a lack of vigour - is it that bad or did I just get back to base during a holiday period?

The Board still holds value - it's just as one ages life is just not as free as it was years back.

I for one take joy from the 'visits' to the Board - and I get much value from the advice of the posters.
