The special shows that you are talking about take place every Thursday night and are run by a group called SOB the Sons Of Bacchus. They start at 5pm and run until 7pm and then the whole group moves on to another bar for the 'afters' which is just drinking. They use twelve different bars, two each week, and the food and drink is included in your entrance fee. It is not great food most people only eat some of it and leave the rest.

The shows can be hit and miss as it is entirely up to the girls what they do or do not show!!! Many of the girls I saw looked scared shitless and didn't even take their tops off, but there are usually a few that really go for it.!!!!

The food place on the corner of Fields is NOT a 'Subway' as we know it....... it is a very poor Filipino copy.

How do you guys get so much information so wrong ????

Sorry mate not meant to be a flame, but I get fed up reading info that is wrong on the board.

There is one hell of a difference between a genuine 'Subway' or other restaurant and a Filipino copy, but that is of course only MHO..

No problem. I normally walk around with beer glasses on most of the time hence I post with an alcohol addled brain. Now, sober as a judge which is surprising for a Saturday afternoon on Fields.

I understand the problem about giving duff info. In fact in one of the posts in this thread I pointed out the Chic n Ribs 250 peso offer on Wednesdays and Fridays. Tried it last night. It was local food on Friday nights but international on Wednesday. There's a very good little kebab shop on the opposite side to that, same side as The Flying Dutchman where a standard kebab is only 40 pesos.

The SOB. Knew it was some sort of acronym running it. There's another outfit as well running a special night on Tuesday at Blue Nile. (saw a flyer in Misty's last night. Think they're The Dogs or something similar, again too much plonk). Doors shut by 5.30 pm. 400 peso entrance, free local drinks and food for duration of the event. Met a cracking dancer in Misty's last night. She normally dances at Blue Nile. Great personality. Mens though which suited me fine as I'm feeling the strain a little. Maybe will have to invest in some of that generic viagra they flog. (apart from all the knives, tee shirts and other crap they're flogging there's a guy going around today flogging garden hoses and the other day a bloke was flogging drills.)

One thing I've noticed with the girls is that they seem to want a boyfriend more than TGs I've met. I've had several who I chat with they offer me their email ddresses and ask meto find them a boyfriend for them back home. One girl told me that she wanted a "fisherman" boyfriend so that he could catch her fresh fish to eat. I offered to put an advert in Angling Times for her. :: She was really sweet. Living in very difficult circumstances. May do a little post about her and some of the others.

Anyway, time to get some ale down me neck and track down a cutie or two. :hubba:

There was a very good photo shop on fields near margarita but think it was turned into a fast food filopino joint.

But there is a photo shop that belongs to a chain, photo plus at the bottom of fields across the road on mcarthur highway. You dont have to go all the way to San Fernando like you said.

I was there two weeks ago and actually had a better time in the philippines this time than thailand. One thing i will say is thais seem to have better bodies/faces but also like the spanish/asian features of filapinas.

Photoshop? I was talking about an internet caff just over the Highway. Wouldn't go all the way to San Fernando for a photoshop.

I agree with you about having a better time there. I've just left to come to Thailand. Previously I would have thought it heresy to hear myself saying that Filipinas have the edge over Thais, as only a few months ago I was still firmly a Thai guy. Now, I'm leaning towards the Filipina look. Plus they're really quite sweet. A lot of them are looking for boyfriends and not just money. There are a couple of girls who have been emailling me since I left as they want me to find them boyfriends back home. It's not that often that a Thai girl will ask me that. One old flame here in Ptty now has 2 regular guys on the go and she wonders why her other number one regular guy didn't come over to see her at New Year. Sometimes it becomes just too transparent that a girl's playing around.

Was in the Blue Nile on Fields Av last Tuesday night for Doghouse International's shindig. Paid 400 pesos on the door. They shut the doors from 5.30pm and all local drinks were included, as well as food and raffle entry. Quite a few nice looking girls dancing. They're a bit tamer than the SOB shows though. I wanted to go to the last one on Thursday night at the Bunny Ranch but had already left so couldn't make it. At the DI the girls dance and put on a show and some of them get naked but that's all that they do.

On my 2nd to last night met a 20 yr old cherry girl who was rampant. Really into kissing and petting. Really lovely looking. She was booked to go away for a few days with another cherry girl with a Thai guy to Boracay. So it says it all when even the Thais are coming to the Philippines for the ladies!

Whitney said: With the current exchange rate, and the long opening hours of bars and go-gos, Angeles is worth the sidetrip out of Thailand. If further restrictions come with Thai nightlife, I'll make Thailand the sidetrip

Hear, hear. Haven't been to the PI in some 3 years or so but am giving it a try for 2 weeks on this trip. If Thailand keeps up with the midnight closing and no-showing bit, Angeles suddenly becomes a lot more competitive, especially with the 55 exchange rate.

The last trip I made, there was no-showing in the go-gos , but I tolerated it. Now with the combination of no-showing and very limited opening hours on the horizon :dunno:, I'll wait and see how things after March 1st work out when put into practice.

I would not be surprised if the hours or zones change between now and March 1st.

If those crazy short opening hours actually come true, and are enforced, Angeles most likely will have more "Oppressed Nightlife Thailand Refugees" coming over :grinyes:

What is wrong with Egypt Air? I spent one night at Grace Hotel and I survived. Of course, it was only one night because I did not feel comfortable being an American and being around mostly Arabs...(yes, another America freaked out by 911).....also because the rooms smelled bad and the beds were awful. Some people asked me where I was from, I just told them Canada...ha ha ha.

Anyway, I am glad that people here are posting about the nightlife in the PI. I would like to go to the PI also but I have to admit, that I am a big wimp and I am sceared of all of that Abu Sayaf, New People's Army, and MILF stuff going on over there. This Kano better just stick to LOS. These posts about PI are great and hopefully they will help me get the courage to go to the PI someday.

I LOVE PINAYS!!!!!!!!!
