I think you're thinking of The Golden Mile Centre - that's "Little Thailand" with the Thai Disco, karaoke bar and all the Thai shops, and where the Isaan workers hang out with their Mekong etc. Pearl Centre is different, totally Chinese and in a totally different part of town.
