unit731
Thanks for the list. I always seemed to obtain a cold Heinekin and a "bath" on any holiday. Lights were a little dimmer, though, in bars.
Roger
The only days that bars are not 'legally' allowed to sell alcohol is on Election (polling) days... Other days are at the discretion of the bar or upon request from local police stations. But the laws allow i to be sold on Buddhist holiday
eyebee
You're quite right - but being asked to close by the police "as a mark of respect" is the same as the law to most bar owners. The BiB can always find some reason to raid a bar if they want to.
TroyinEwa/Perv
Very correct......when I asked my employee to do something, I wasn't really asking.
rickfarang
Hey...its 2009! What about Saturday, Dec. 5th?
Guest
Hey...its 2009! What about Saturday, Dec. 5th? Patpong bars never stop serving for any holiday. Especially ones like Cosmo's, where Thai men drink.
rickfarang
Thank you. This was observed to be correct advice.
TroyinEwa/Perv
The list says open for Aug 12th but will they be serving the good stuff?? IIRC, it's usually non-alcoholic on HM's bday.
eyebee
For the past couple of years the bars have been open and serving on HM The Queen's birthday (certainly in Pattaya). Before then it was a bit of hit or miss.
