unit731
So what is the real story behind these batteries or the battery monitors or these problems in general? "Even before two battery failures led to the grounding of all Boeing 787 jets this month, the lithium-ion batteries used on the aircraft had experienced multiple problems that raised questions about their reliability." rakpooyingthai
Where to begin? Not only are the batteries suspect but other electronic components as well. Begin with an overall scope of the mfgr. process. Unlike the Boeing that we have trusted for decades, they moved beau ceau work to outsourcing. This process is more friendly to mfgr. that is less techinical. He we are with a cutting edge aircraft and Boeing decided to outsource much of the development then piece it together afterward. The is aircraft is just too technical and new to expect good results from this process. All of this happens at a time when Airbus is having fewer problems which is also a problem for Boeing. My message to Boeing is: Bring the entire process back on Boeing property and tighten control of development and NDT.
