Do a search for Michael Savage. He has a talk show in the US and a few years ago it was one of the more popular. Interviewed the Israeli PM many times on the radio and has been a staunch supporter of Israel. Even banned from the UK for talking about bombing Mecca.
For years he sounded like a Likud Party spokesman.
The rush to war for Israel in Syria is so blatantly obvious to him he said:

Ask any USMC weapons training Sgt.; the USMC spends about 100,000 round of ammo training for every 1 round shot in combat.... You dont get good shooting 50 rounds every now and then, you do it shooting a TON.
I bet belt fed full auto is where most of that is used up with the Marines. Would think that DHS is mostly handguns.

well I don't agree with your statement that they would all be better off without receiving US aid.
The US taxpayer would be far better off. Money spent violating the basic human rights of Palestinians could be spent in America violating the basic human rights of Americans.
Drone technology is getting so cheap that it is hard to be optimistic about the future for Israel as that is really not an area where there are a lot of countermeasures.
Do you think that Israel should remain as the biggest single destination for US foriegn aid indefinately?

Unfortunately that would only result in other powers stepping in with their own aid. I would hate to see Iran enter the game with aid like they did in Syria. Look at the result there.
With their aid, the US is only paying to remain in the game. That is why the US aids both sides of the conflict.

I emailed the author of the Time article and told him that I agreed with most of his points for reforming healthcare. As he said nothing about ex pats, I suggested Medicare be available to use overseas, where health costs are lower and many times, much lower. I also suggested that hospitals outside of the U.S. be accredited by the U.S. government and Americans be allowed to use their private or government health insurance to seek treatment overseas and increase competition, which may help drive down hospital costs in the U.S. Surprisingly, I emailed him last night and he responded today. I ended the email saying if there was a lobbying group created that represented Americans who want affordable healthcare, sign me up.

If Israelis could learn to live and let live the entire Middle East would be a much safer place and most likely have less repressive governments.

I meant to attack your post, not you, something I think you are mixing up.
First of all, do check the timeline, the shooting just happened, and after reading it in a newspaper online I came on this board and you posted what you did, without any single word of compassion for the 20 murdered / assassinated / executed young kids, that really made me angry.
Secondly, you are definitely in favour of a very antiquated piece of "freedom" allowing about 12000 gunkills per year in the US, that is one freaking school massacre every single day of the year ! How can you be in favor of that ?
Even more stupid is to advocate more weapons to counter the violence, duh !!! more guns will bring more violence !

If its constitutionally acceptable, I'd limit gun owners to 10 bullets. Shooting ranges can have an audited amount that can be bought by shooters but any unused amounts must be returned.
Also, tax the hell out of both the guns and the bullets. Do what ever we can to limit gun companies as well.
I think even better would be to follow what various European governments do as far as regulating/controlling the MASSIVE over use certain drugs.

LA is a sick place for jails.
I forgot the study but the sharp rise in prisoners over the last 30 years was attributed not to more crime being done but the industry that builds prisons, unions that guard them as well as private jails and tougher sentencing for things that were otherwise misdemeanors and got off on a warning or a fine.
Not just LA....it is pretty brutal in the north part of the state as well.
The three strikes and you're out laws ended discretion in the court system so that is a big part of problem. At least in California the biggest single political contributions of any union were made by the prison guards union. Tons of people have retired at 50 on pensions for life quite close to US$100,000 per year.
Given the benefits virtually ever state employee has the future is really far worse than Greece.

FBF has received word that Tim “Wanchai†Young has passed away. A resident of Bangkok for almost 40 years, Tim died peacefully on Monday evening. Randy and others from Goldfingers were alerted and called the medics but nothing could be done.
The cremation is planned for Tuesday, August 13 at a temple in Chaeng Wattana, northern Bangkok. We don’t know complete plans yet but there may be a bus leaving from Goldfinger that morning and I’m sure there will be a wake of sorts at the Finger that evening.
Latest word is that folks are coming from Chiang Mai, Udon, Sakhon Nakhon, Pattaya, and the US. It might be a good time to remember Tim and reunite with some old friends.
[update]: It appears that there will be a prayer service at the temple on Sunday, aimed mainly at Farangs, and there will be a wake at Goldfingers on Tuesday after the cremation.
